As time goes by, I find it interesting to compare functioning of the brain to a computer—sometimes similar, sometimes not.

— Memory upgrades or additions become unavailable.
— The hard disc seems to rotate slower, which explains why it takes longer reviewing stored information, to find what you’re looking for.
— You just can’t have as many files open at one time, like in the past, or like other people.
— What used to work well in your life, you are told is out of date–and upgrades simply don’t fit.
— Pressure does not increase productivity—another crisis blows another circuit—can’t afford that.
— Older systems are no longer supported, and everything you do takes so much longer.
— The cost of inefficiency and failure of logical function, add up in real dollars, with no reprogramming to correct the damage.
— Thinking about another better system is not helpful—actually, that kills your own system, almost like it has personality and gets offended. Yes, it does, because it’s you, a person and not a technical machine like a computer.
