MARGINAL ANALOGY

Be sure to share this only in a guaranteed acceptance atmosphere.

When everyone was talking and drooling over engagement ring stories, including the new one in the group, I shared a lame (risky) analogy.

“I told my kids that their gpa matters only until they get their first job.”

It is fun to watch people in the group as the first person gets it, then others.

The person telling this might want to play low key at that time.

PRAYING, OR ?

Someone sat down close by at a cafe, and I was pleased to see the person bow her head to pray.

But then I realized she was using her cell phone instead.

Oh, I guess you could say she was praying—and it seems most of us give devotion to this god.

LIFE – – – OR NOT ? [6]

The only requirement for a two-year-old child to become and adult is time and nourishment.

The only requirement for a new-born child to become and adult is time and nourishment.

The only requirement for a pre-born child to become and adult is time and nourishment.

LIFE – – – OR NOT ? [4]

“It’s okay to kill a baby when . . .”

LIFE – – – OR NOT ? [3]

Who was in your mommy’s tummy before you were born?

LIFE – – – OR NOT ? [2]

More black babies are killed by abortion in New York City than are born in New York City.

That sounds like pro-abortion is racism.

“Everyone in favor of abortion is already born.”—–Ronald Reagan

PERSPECTIVE ON THE NEWS

You can’t get a Biblical perspective on the news by starting your day with the news.

SECURITY OF SETBACKS

Security of Setbacks—at first reading that is an oxymoron.

Security of Setbacks—at second reading that sounds sick if you buy it.

Or,

Security of Setbacks—we learn to see the the Sovereign hand of God using every setback, large and small, to get our attention to call on His name right away at the first sign of trouble.

It is a fact of human nature in all of history, that we tend to drift away from God when all goes well for us.

And it is all so true that we turn to God more when things do not go well for us.

If we sincerely desire to walk closer with Jesus, to seek Him, He will provide all the necessary setbacks in our life, personally, to accomplish that sweet fellowship that He too desires.

And that, my friend, is divine security through unsolicited setbacks.
