THE UNTHINKABLE CAN’T HAPPEN ! ! !

The unthinkable can’t happen, because it’s unthinkable, incomprehensible.

Such is the thinking of most Americans.

And what is the unthinkable?

The unthinkable is something that has never happened in the history of the world.

We’ve all heard about it, but we don’t think about it, because we could not deal with it.

In an instant of time, all everyday communication in America, all transportation in America, all infrastructure in America will stop, permanently.

Most Americans will die—from violence, starvation, disease.

Some few watchdogs sound the alarm occasionally about this threat.

Most ignore it because we can’t do anything about it.

But fewer and fewer deny it.

Any weapon ever invented in the past has been used.

Any weapon invented now will be used, including electromagnetic pulse bombs.

History does not lie—History does not bend.

So most people say they don’t think about it.

But everyone keeps working harder to get ahead, and even plan for retirement (beat the bugs in the fragile financial system).

The elephant is in the tent, and we hope he doesn’t step on our stuff.

We have a disconnect like never before.

We can’t live disjointed lives forever without coming apart.

And when the event happens, no one can handle it.

Gloom and Doom?

Just Reality!

What to do – – –

Ignoring is no better than Ignorance.

To prevent Hysterical perspective when the surprise happens, we must have Historical perspective.

We may not prevent history from repeating itself, but we can prevent history from catching us off guard.

Physical preparations are logical, critical, obviously essential.

But in every disaster anywhere around the world, it is always reported that emotional and spiritual needs must be met as well as physical.

Right now most Americans don’t feel their spiritual needs worthy of much attention.

The weeks after 9-11 found an instant (though short-lived) focus on God—even Congress singing “God Bless America” on the Capitol steps.

There will be a return to such spiritual focus in this country again.

The election, with its potential horrors, got it started.

It will continue, either voluntarily, or forced by another disaster.

Again, what to do – – –

Ignoring Perspective = Ignorance Perspective

Hysterical Perspective x=x Historical Perspective

Historical Perspective + Eternal Perspective = Hope Perspective
