WATCH OUT – – – GOD IS FIXIN’ TO . . .

How we wish to know the rest of that sentence.

Or maybe we don’t want to know.

One thing is certain—God is fixin’ to do something, and soon.

He has already started, if we care to notice and discern.

When someone is feeling seriously sick in their stomach, for various possible reasons, we may try to hold off the inevitable with various possible methods.

And then, the inevitable has to happen to get rid of something the body can’t tolerate, and it isn’t pretty—for the sick person and for the persons close.

It is interesting how often that scene is described like a volcano.

Enough said.

When God decides to judge a pagan nation, He does not get sick to his stomach or emotional, except for anger that is avenged by justice (and that is His department, not ours).

But it is a different story when God has to deal with His people who claim His name, who have become wishy-washy and comfortable and complacent and lukewarm and compatible with the world.

He tells us exactly what He will do, and it’s fixin’ to happen, and it ain’t gonna be pretty.

Lukewarm, fence-sitting Christians make God vomit, so watch out.

I can’t tell you exactly what is going to happen.

But I can tell you what is making God sick:

+Christians buying into the financial Babylon of affluent America

+Christians laying up treasures on earth rather than in heaven

+Christians blending in with the moral ambiguity around us

+Christians not being salt and light that could turn America back in a Godly direction

+Christians spending their energy, time, and resources on the comforts of this life, rather than sacrificing all for Jesus to help others.

+Christians avoiding a lifestyle that brings persecution

Watch what God is going to do.

Seek Him desperately, now, because desperate times are near.

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart.”

“God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted or tested beyond what you can endure; but He will with the temptation make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
