PREPARE TO BE A REFUGEE ?

Brace yourself, to be uncomfortable.
If this message does not make you uncomfortable, you may be in a dangerous place.*
Do you feel at home, here in America?
Thankful to live in America, yes—at home in America, dangerous.

American Christians:
What Is Your Focus?

Where Is Your Time Spent?

Where Is Your Energy Spent?

Where Is Your Money Spent?

Where Is Your Money Saved?

Where Is Your Love Given?

Do you know that money equals love, according to Jesus?
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

And what about your stuff?
When Jesus asks you to give it all away, would you go away very sad because you have “great possessions”?
Enter, the most foreign term to Americans—REFUGEE.

Jesus asked a rich, eager, influential, young man to voluntarily give it all away, and follow Him, if he wanted to complete his goal of entering heaven.
Refugees have to give up everything involuntarily, without choice, without warning, without time, just to maybe save their lives.
Could that happen to Americans?
Could that happen to American Christians?
Could that determine who are true Christians—who do not just say, “Lord, Lord”?

Can we prepare to be refugees, in America?
Should we prepare to be refugees?
There is no other “America” for American refugees to flee to.

So what are Christians supposed to do, now, and when crisis comes here?
Answer: Get closer to Jesus, for real, and start listening and following exactly what His Book tells us, even what is contrary to American culture and American finance.
And that may call for very drastic, practical changes in our daily lives, before such changes are thrust upon us by others.

“We are strangers and pilgrims in this world.”
“Do not love the world, or the things in the world.”
“Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.”

This world is not my home,
I’m just a passing through.
My treasures are laid up
Somewhere beyond the blue.

The angels beckon me
From heaven’s open door;
And I won’t feel at home
In this world anymore.

The more you feel at home in this world, the less likely you would feel at home in heaven.
If you want to change that, read more here; but especially read more in His Book—it will make a difference in the parts that are for keeps, starting now.
