TIME FOR “THE ONE THING NEEDFUL”

Here is something I wrote to my oldest son 3-29-15:

Something about my dad comes clear this morning listening to “”Road To Reality” on the call of God, and “Changed Lives” on patience.

BALANCE/TENSION between waiting on God, and getting things done.

Daddy spent lots of time with his open Bible early in the morning, and other times during the day.  I remember the New Testament on his pickup seat.

And then he had us all spend considerable devotion time after breakfast—so much, in fact, that it distressed most of the family, including my body.  It was prime work time on the farm.

Did God honor that?  Yes.

Do I struggle over time?  Yes.

Did God honor time Daddy spent listening to Christian radio?  Yes.

Does God honor time I spend listening to Christian radio?  Yes, daily.

And one more thought from my Dad:

Must all Christians suffer?  Yes, as promised.

Daddy had the following Bible verse engraved on my brother’s tombstone:

“We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

I hope to someday share the rest of his story.  I just wanted to start getting that legacy out.

WATCH OUT – – – GOD IS FIXIN’ TO . . .

How we wish to know the rest of that sentence.

Or maybe we don’t want to know.

One thing is certain—God is fixin’ to do something, and soon.

He has already started, if we care to notice and discern.

When someone is feeling seriously sick in their stomach, for various possible reasons, we may try to hold off the inevitable with various possible methods.

And then, the inevitable has to happen to get rid of something the body can’t tolerate, and it isn’t pretty—for the sick person and for the persons close.

It is interesting how often that scene is described like a volcano.

Enough said.

When God decides to judge a pagan nation, He does not get sick to his stomach or emotional, except for anger that is avenged by justice (and that is His department, not ours).

But it is a different story when God has to deal with His people who claim His name, who have become wishy-washy and comfortable and complacent and lukewarm and compatible with the world.

He tells us exactly what He will do, and it’s fixin’ to happen, and it ain’t gonna be pretty.

Lukewarm, fence-sitting Christians make God vomit, so watch out.

I can’t tell you exactly what is going to happen.

But I can tell you what is making God sick:

+Christians buying into the financial Babylon of affluent America

+Christians laying up treasures on earth rather than in heaven

+Christians blending in with the moral ambiguity around us

+Christians not being salt and light that could turn America back in a Godly direction

+Christians spending their energy, time, and resources on the comforts of this life, rather than sacrificing all for Jesus to help others.

+Christians avoiding a lifestyle that brings persecution

Watch what God is going to do.

Seek Him desperately, now, because desperate times are near.

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart.”

“God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted or tested beyond what you can endure; but He will with the temptation make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

BATHROOMS – – – CAN’T KICK THIS CAN DOWN THE ROAD

Congress is known for kicking the financial can down the road—and burying this country in debt.

Even worse, Congress is silent on the current bathroom/federal power war—and burying this country in moral abyss.

The United States does not have time to wait and see how this will work itself out.

It will turn out wrong for everyone, if leadership does not set this matter straight now.

END OF THE WORLD—OR—END OF FREE AMERICA

We are told in the Bible to not predict the date for the end of the world.

But we are told to notice the signs that the end of the world is getting close.

What are those signs?

Basically everything in the news, including the alternate media.

I will mention just one of the signs listed in the Bible—“men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for those things coming upon the world.”

And what about the end of free America?

Free America is just about history already—we just haven’t yet seen our daily lives disrupted severely.

The question is “When?”

It is only a matter of time until the violence abroad becomes commonplace here—no longer occasional incidents.

And, THE BIG ONE is coming to America just as surely as history repeats itself.

If people really believed the end of America is coming,

If people really believed the end of the world is coming,

If people really believed the end of their lives is coming,

Would they actually do something to get ready?

Will you actually do something to get ready?

The beginning of America rested on the end of King George’s tyranny, but only a small percentage of Americans committed to the fight—but thank God they won, because they depended on Him.

The survival of America rests on the end of King BHOB*s tyranny, but it is hard to find that small percentage of Americans committed to the fight now, because so few depend on God.

Too many potential patriots today are still too comfortable with what America has offered them, to be willing to sacrifice “our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor” like the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Those men knew what they were pledging, and nearly all of them made good on their word—most paid dearly, severely, by the time independence was won.

I fear that those who do understand this today, and can make a difference, especially in leadership, will wait too long to act.

I am encouraged that two governors, in Texas and North Carolina, are committed to doing without federal government money, to save our freedom and protect our families.

And that is only the first step.

It will soon cost all of us, if we want our freedom.

When the end of free America is imminent, we must talk about it and deal with it, and do what we can to prepare.

When the end of our life is imminent, we must talk about it and deal with it, and do what we can to prepare.

I give you the bottom line, from my byline that says, “Making a difference in your life in the parts that are for keeps.”

+++Take time to be holy, the world rushes on.

+++Much time spend in secret, with Jesus alone.

+++By looking to Jesus, like Him you will be;

+++Your friends in your conduct, His likeness shall see.

And that makes you an agent of change.

*BHOB—Barack Hussein OBama—Say BHHHOB aloud and it sounds like the warning for Christians in the 2008 election: “Beware of sheep’s clothing.”

AMERIGEDDON

This movie opened in selected theaters yesterday.

Do whatever you can to see it.

Contact other theaters to show this movie.

It may well be the bombshell movie of the year—exceeded only by the reality it presents.

It is time to say,

“AMERICA, THIS IS IT!”

TODAY I FEEL LIKE . . .

Today I feel like Texas is not a part of the United States.

Therefore I can skip a lot of rules that have been in place for over a century and a half.

I do not have to obey the rules of the United States or its leaders.

I do not expect anything from the United States.

I do not expect the United States to interfere in any way with what we do in Texas.

I do not expect to owe the United States anything.

I have felt this way for some time—now we are inadvertently validated to act on this feeling, held by many Texans.

And, contrary to the absurdity of the “advisory” mandate today from the administration in Washington to all public school districts, this feeling in Texas is based on common sense, necessity, and freedom.

Finally, I here voice all my support to the good governors of Texas and North Carolina for working together against the disasters the United States is forcing on us.

We will not take it anymore.

GOD BLESS TEXAS—THE LAST BASTION OF FREEDOM IN THE WORLD.

TRUMP OR HILLARY

Thanks to Brian Fisher for this thought on American Family Radio yesterday:

Choosing between these two evils is the equivalent of choosing between Ahab and Jezebel.

WHAT KIND OF PRAYER DOES GOD HEAR?

Today is the National Day of Prayer, again.

Will it make a difference?

I will attempt to keep this short, to give you something you can remember.

God can hear any kind of prayer.

Prayer does not depend on the prayer as much as it depends on the heart of the person, or nation of persons, praying.

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

That tells me if you call on God without any pretense of worthiness, God will hear your prayer.

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you will glorify Me.”

Take that one step at a time—if trouble hits you, call out, “Jesus.”

Wait for Him to take the second step.

And don’t forget to thank Him.

God uses everything to get our attention.

He loves to hear us call out to Him, however distressed.

THEN, God wants to know how long He will have our attention—meaning, He wants an ongoing relation with each of us.

And that is not complicated—pray often and read the Bible daily, and amazing things will happen in your life.

America is in trouble.

Many Americans are in trouble.

God is eager to hear our cry in this day of trouble.

I don’t know what He will do about America, for America, to America.

But I know what He will do for you—He will change your life if you decide to connect with Him on His terms.

SHOULD POLITICIANS HEAR FROM GOD?

Someone chided George W. Bush for saying he hears from God.

Response—Would you rather have a President who does not hear from God?

Leadership matters.

Elections have consequences.

” Whatever you sow, you reap.”

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

Once upon a time, America remembered God, including the President.

Now, it is a different story.

One person running for President totally believes in God and depends on Him for direction.

And misguided Christians, and many who call themselves Christians, are supporting a man with reckless abandon who has no use for God.

So, if you were God, what would you do with America?

GOD IS GOD, AND HE IS DEALING WITH AMERICA.

PREPPING IS BIBLICAL

Someone in the Bible spent one hundred years working hard with his family, building a floating bunker for a calamity that had never happened before.

JUST BECAUSE, “GOD TOLD HIM TO”?

Good thing he did, or we wouldn’t be here.
