WHO PAYS FOR ‘FREE’? – – – WHO PROFITS FROM ‘FREE’?

Who pays for ‘free stuff’?

+People with resources who see others in need and choose to help by sharing some of their abundance.

+Christians who follow Jesus’ command to feed and care for the poor and needy.

+Benevolent organizations that choose to use some of their resources from voluntary contributions to help others in need.

+Taxpayers (slaves) that make involuntary “contributions” to governments that give handouts to people (to control both).

Who profits from ‘free stuff’?

+Politicians—campaigning/promising the people ‘free, free, and more free.’

+Wealthy—funding/controlling the politicians.

+Dictators—surviving/eliminating all threats to power.

+Enemies—seizing/exploiting the weakened state of a people growing dependent on government, giving up freedom and free will.

BARACK AND HILLARY TO NANCY (reprint)

(Seems like an appropriate time to re-post this item from last December, with alternate title added)

PELOSI’S PERPLEXITY

Dear Nancy,

Please do not start something in January.

Donald might finish it.

And “it” would be us.

Sincerely,

Barack and Hillary

X THE WORD ‘TRINITY’ etc.

The Bible passages about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not difficult.

The word ‘trinity’ and all the other created words surrounding it are impossible.

If we just skipped the word ‘trinity’ and ‘co-equal’ and ‘co-eternal’ and ‘is’ and ‘is not’ and ‘same’ and ‘different’ and ‘three-dimensions’ and ‘tri’ and ‘unity’ and ‘essence’ and ‘1+1+1=3’ and ‘1+1+1=1’ and ‘persons’ and ‘water, ice, and steam’ and ‘light, heat, radiation from one sun’ and ‘no illustration is perfect’ and ‘triangle’ and ‘pyramid’ and ‘height, width, depth’ and ‘look like, sound like, behave like, but not . . .’ and ‘not three gods’ and ‘one god’ and . . . and . . . and . . . , then we could focus much better on encouraging people to read what is actually in the Bible.

The above collection illustrates the point of ridiculous futility created by inventing the word ‘trinity.’

All that came from just one article titled,

“The following clearly and briefly explains the Trinity . . . three gods or one?”

I must say, “absurd.”

And, ten videos with the following titles “How I Explain the Trinity,” “How to Explain the Trinity to An Unbeliever,” “The Trinity Explained,” “Share Jesus: the Trinity Explained In Under 3 Minutes,” “Explaining the Trinity to Children,” “Christian ‘Trinity’ Explained In 3 Minutes (Father, Spirit, Son) Part One,” “3 Minute Theology 1.1: What Is the Trinity?” “What Is the Trinity?” “How Can I Best Explain the Holy Trinity to a Child?” “How to Explain the Trinity: by Jeff Durbin” were sufficient to make me quit without watching any.

To make my point of ridiculous—I simply typed “explain the trinity,” and over 38,000,000 results showed up—that’s thirty-eight million—besides the eleven I refer to here.

Theologians have created lots of ridiculous stuff, but I think this tops them all.

Why doesn’t anyone else see the obvious, like the kids’ book, The Emperor Has No Clothes?

The article then went on to quote a lot of Bible verses about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Not one of the verses was complicated or hard to understand or believe, just as written.

So why don’t we just use the Bible verses, and not the man-made gobbledygook?

If we could simply let go of the invented word ‘trinity’ and the unbelievable time and effort and umpteen millions of books and articles and illustrations unsuccessfully ‘explaining’ the word ‘trinity,’ it could so free the church for the mission of the church, that it would rival the revolution of the Reformation.

No credible case can be made for maintaining the use of the word ‘trinity’ and its monumental mystic manipulations by man, that get us not one step closer to God—EXCEPT that “we’ve always done it this way,” the ‘trinity,’ that is.

Well, actually, we haven’t always done it that way.  Some theologians had a meeting and came up with the word ‘trinity.’

Not Jesus, not Paul, not in the Bible, not helpful at all, not defensible at all.

I believe a very strong case can be made for the damage caused by creating the word ‘trinity’ and the distractions it has caused, as a great deal of time, wasted time, is spent explaining and defending the ‘trinity’ as a given assumption without question—precious time borrowed from sharing the simple Word of God.

Profound, theological, Biblical summary:

God does not fit in a three-sided box.

(Analogy—if you teach enough public school students that evolution is a fact, you end up with generations that believe it is a fact.)

“GOD, YOU’RE WASTING YOUR TIME AND . . .”

“Just quit wasting time trying to convert me to a cult. I’m not interested.”

That is a recent text from a long-time atheist friend amid ongoing conversations about Truth—Jesus and the Bible.

The comment was addressed to me—but in reality, to God:

“Jesus, don’t waste your blood and love on me—I’ll just laugh and spit on it, and on anyone who believes in you.”

It is frightening to know that “He Who sits in the heavens laughs, and keeps them in derision.”

JUST DEBATE – – – OR . . . ?

One of my sons wisely advised me that we can’t convince, persuade, debate, prove facts, or in any way change the mindset of those extremely on the other side (leftists, liberals, democrats, socialists, anti-Trumpers with Trump Derangement Syndrome, lgbt activists, abortion advocates, atheists, social gospel proponents, ‘no borders’ minded, Chris-lam tolerant, mainstream media mind-controlled).

– – –

The antidote to poison propaganda ?

I have no more desire or obligation to engage in debate with my friends on the other side if they will not actually listen to “Sandy Rios In The Morning,” Bryan Fischer’s “Focal Point,” Abraham Hamilton III’s “Hamilton Corner,” Tony Perkins “Washington Watch” on American Family Radio (afr.net or 89.9 in central Texas), and see the movie “Unplanned”—with documented examples of truth about lies funded by Soros (and company) and propagated by the lopsided mainstream media.

I care about my friends and others, and I care about my country that trusted in God, and I want to share Jesus’ love for me and them more than anything else.

So I will be more careful to notice the difference between dialogue and diatribe.

“FULL, REDACTED REPORT”

” Full, Redacted Report” is an oxymoron.

(no political comment either way—just an oxymoron)

“HINDSIGHT IS 20-20”

The statement “Hindsight is 20-20” simply means we cannot trust God to help us get it right the first time.

H A T E – – – WHO STARTED IT ?

(To my friends and others on the other side)

Do not let the fever of Trump Derangement Syndrome scorch your sanity to such and extent that you end up trashing the good for America and yourself, and fail to see the evil out to destroy all of us.

– – –

Guard against the powerful and effective brainwashing propaganda of media so obviously awash with TDS that every report is bathed in a created hatred of Trump as their starting premise.

C O N F U S I O N – – – everywhere

We have been hijacked.

We don’t know what anything means anymore.

– – –

I say we’ve never been here before.

Can we survive the universal confusion?

Will it all come out in the wash?

Daddy said, “Yes—it did in Noah’s day.”

– – –

No one trashes God’s Ways, which have not changed and are not confusing, without getting thrashed and trashed.

Just study history.

“One thing we learn from history is that we don’t learn anything from history.”

Could we pray that American exceptionalism may defy that statement?

“PROVIDE” vs “PROMOTE”

The Constitution of the United States of America states very clearly the role of government—the role of our government.

The two phrases with the words “provide” and “promote” are unmistakably simple, yet we have practically reversed them in America today.

The government is to “provide for the common defense.”

That is a legitimate, Biblical, God-ordained function of government.

“. . . punishment of evil-doers, and praise of those who do well.”—–His Book

The government is to “promote the general welfare.”

That is also legitimate and Biblical, so we may live in peace.

Our government is to promote and preserve the option for us to pursue our own welfare without interference from the government—capitalism not complicated with regulations or handouts.

The part we have twisted and reversed in recent decades is the mistaken assumption that government is to ‘provide’ the general welfare.

No! No! No!—Not in any shape or form!—Not even a little!

That is not the government’s job, and it does not work, it never has, and it never will, no matter how many promises of ‘free’ stuff persuade fifty-one percent of the people to vote for socialism.  That might happen, but it will not work.

“If any would not work, neither should he eat.”—–His Book (and you can take that to the bank)

We have allowed the government to take over the church’s legitimate mandate to provide welfare where it is genuinely needed (only the church can discern genuine need).

And now the government is taking over the church’s freedom—“freedom of religion”—also an undeniable, legal right given by our Creator and guaranteed by that same Constitution.
