PASS THE GRENADE CAMPAIGNING

One thing that makes Americans lose interest and passion in political campaigns is “business as usual.”   I too feared that this point in the election season would seem like a rerun of 2008.  Sadly, that is becoming a reality.

PASS THE GRENADE CAMPAIGNING

The candidates toss a live grenade back and forth, hoping it will go off close enough to the other person.  The outcome remains unclear, in spite of the accusations and intended telling points.  Then comes election day, and whoever happens to throw the grenade last before it blows up, wins.

The lines of distinction between the two parties have never been drawn more clearly.  Yet the campaign hardly reflects that now.  The Republicans had this election handed to them on a platter, and they are giving it away. They are playing defense instead of wiping out the other side by asking questions the American people want answered.

America in 2012 is anything but “business as usual,” and many say this could be our last election in a free country.

If only Romney would see it that way and fight to win or die in this campaign.
