What a difference a word can make, or a simple play on words.
June 18,1815—England waited for a message across the channel about the decisive battle with Napoleon. Late in the day a ship flashed the message, “Wellington defeated,” and fog rolled in. All was lost, until the fog lifted, and the complete message came from the flashing light, “Wellington defeated the enemy.”
England, and the world, again hung in the balance during WWII.
The furor, the all-consuming rage, of The Fuhrer of Nazism sent fear throughout Germany, Europe, and the world.
But we were on God’s side then, and the furor of God was with us, against the furor of hell unleashed—and we defeated the enemy.
