GIVE THE DEVIL A LITTLE OF AMERICA . . .

Give the devil a little finger of America, and he’ll take the whole hand—the whole country.

How true—if only we weren’t seeing it happen right in front of our eyes, and so quickly it’s almost unbelievable.

Evil—and the evil one—is never satisfied with a little finger of concession from an individual or a culture or a country.

Pause to ponder each item on this list, and realize how evil demands more and more, as soon as it gets a foothold. I could write multiple articles, but I’m asking you to review the progression yourself, inside each one.

Drugs

Pornography

Violence

Education

Lgbt

Government

Dictatorship

Godlessness—I will elaborate on this one, at the heart of what is happening in America.

First, we took God for granted because we got used to His blessings.

That’s all it took for the devil to get hold of a little finger of America.

Then everything on the above list started demanding more, and crowded God out.

Then we openly and publicly pushed God out, forcefully.

Evil is never satisfied with a little, and a little more—it claims everything, and demands acceptance, endorsement, and worship.

So, war is declared on everything Godly, any reminder of Him and His Word, most especially Christians.

The devil will not stop his grasping for more of America, until he has all of America, like China or North Korea.

And that is why this country looks more and more like China, with mandates and surveillance.

Can the evil takeover be stopped and turned around?

I don’t know.

But I do know that the remnant of Christians who pray, will pray through this darkening time.

We pray for a miracle, for God to move—and we pray for God to move us, to make us faithful, for others to see Jesus in us.

“Let your light so shine before people, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.”

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.”

Light shines brighter in darkness—in this darkness.

A HOLIDAY FOR LOVE

I don’t base my views of life on movies, but rather on the Word of God.

A movie that I watched a few days ago with the above title had a quotable moment from the main character expressing his change of heart and life. It was very good—so I share it and recommend the movie.

“Sometimes you have to lose your way, to find your heart.”

“I spent so many years trying to be something other than who I was, that I kinda forgot myself. Maybe now I’ll get my memory back.”

“Maybe we can just start over, and get to know each other from scratch.”

TOP TWO MOTIVATORS FOR ALL TIME

One—To avoid the horrible torment of hell.

Two—To help someone else avoid the horrible torment of hell.

“. . . FOR ALL TIME”

The time is now.

Now is the only time we have to avoid hell.

Hell by default—Heaven by choice.

Heaven by Jesus only.

Don’t miss heaven for anything in this world, or anything in your mind.

GET COMFORTABLE ?

“Get comfortable with ambiguity.”—–Peter Rosenberger

Peter’s program (Sat. mornings at 7:00 central on afr) is Hope For The Family Caregiver. Caregiving is filled with lots of ambiguity, stuff you often can’t fix or tidy up. I’m using his quote because it can help us all think better about the many ambiguities in life.

Comfortable with ambiguity means we don’t always have to say something when a situation makes us uncomfortable.

Silence is often a better explanation for life’s dilemmas than saying something.

We don’t have to try one more verbal wrap-up for things we can’t fix.

“Be still, and know that I Am God.”

The first step for that, before God (and then for peace with ourselves and other people), is to stop talking, before we say something that does not help.
