T E X A N

What adjectives do you need to describe a Texan?

Would the complete list include the following:

—proud

—loyal

—independent

—patriotic

—good

—old fashioned (values)

—hard-working

—brave

—native

—devoted

—unconventional

—one-of-a-kind

—volatile (if you mess with Texas, you may wish you hadn’t)

Okay, I could easily go on with more adjectives, because I believe in them personally.  But let me tell you what prompted the list.  I here make an apology to all who did not hear my severe mis-statement about Texas yesterday.  My friend nailed me for accidentally saying “ordinary Texan” in a conversation about my loyalty to Texas.  I promise I will never make that mistake again.

Now, back to the list.  I do not need to make the list complete, or even add to it.  In fact, we don’t need that list altogether.  Truth is, ” T E X A N ”  stands alone, speaks for itself, needs no adjective.

Several months ago I wrote about the various words to describe politicians, and they are many and colorful.  But no one ever puts an adjective in front of  “statesman.”

So it is with     ”  T  E  X  A  N  “.

You haven’t seen the last of us.  More later, or sooner.
