OBESITY & MALNUTRITION—PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL, POLITICAL

PHYSICAL

We can be overfed, overweight, and undernourished.

Malnutrition can result from eating too much as well as from eating too little, if it isn’t the right food, digested properly.

Poor health can also result from eating the right foods in the right amounts, without proper exercise.

Okay, no surprise there, in the physical.  It just happens to be difficult for some people because of the self-discipline factor.

SPIRITUAL

The parallels between physical and spiritual health and fitness are very clear, but very clearly overlooked.

Spiritual obesity in America does not prepare us for spiritual persecution.  In this land of abundance we can be spiritually overfed and yet unhealthy from lack of exercise.  Persecution will take care of that spiritual exercise factor, making some strong overnight while choking out those attached to this culture.

For decades the church in America has promoted compatibility with the culture, and very soon very few frogs will get out as the pot heats up.

The Bible will again hold up to its claim to divide, sharply.

POLITICAL

Now, I hope and pray many will see the growing political obesity and unfitness for the unfamiliar times upon us.

As I listen and read a wide variety of commentary on the news, I am well-fed politically, with the best nutrition.  Just a couple days ago it occurred to me that we are in a land of plenty politically, as well as physically and spiritually.

But there are two very troubling aspects of the political health of Americans.

One, far too many still listen only to the mainstream media.  That steady diet of candy bars and cool-aid produces the politically feeble masses incapable of fighting and ready to march behind a dictator with promises and lies.  Just watch the 2012 campaign unfold.

Two, the sincere, patriotic Americans who listen to the alternative media are now at risk of political obesity.  Just as food without exercise is unhealthy, so information without action is frustrating.  And that frustration is rapidly escalating to the boiling point.

While there must be every effort to help the good guys win in November, there is a growing awareness that such effort isn’t enough.

I shall broach the subject that no one is talking about publicly.  I challenge a leader to step forward and do more than talk shows and rallies.

The bad guys have been organizing patiently for a decade, and we know the list of unused weapons at their disposal.  We know they will use all of them to bring down this country.

The good guys continue just talking about the only recourse we have—the democratic process and peaceful protest.

What are we going to do, and who is going to lead us, when the Arab Spring becomes the American Winter?  Widespread coordinated violence is coming to the streets of America soon, and we are not ready, but our enemies are.  Nobody wants to talk about it because it is easier to talk about the news of the day.  It’s not nice to even think about.  So we all just try to get by one more day.

Please, there’s got to be someone who understands this, with a vision for leadership.  I know dissenters disappear, but what’s new, in the fight for freedom?

(Sorry for the length, but it had to be said)

O B A M A – “C A R E?”

I do not want BHOB*  “taking care of”  any part of my life.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my health.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my money.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my faith.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my future, from now till the day I die in God’s time.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my grandchildren, born and unborn.

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my security.

And for sure,

I do not want him  “taking care of”  my country.

*Barack Hussein OBama—Say BHHHOB aloud and it sounds like the warning for Christians in the 2008 election: “Beware of sheep’s clothing.”
