HURRY UP IS AN OXYMORON

Oh well, it works for me, lately.

THANKFUL FOR SLOW ?

Perspective changes over the years.

Here is my paraphrase tribute to “Hee Haw:”

“If it weren’t for slow speed, I’d have no speed at all.”

I guess that’s worth something, because people laugh heartily when I share it.

END TIMES, SIMPLIFIED

“He’s coming—I’m going” —–Ed Vitagliano (American Family Radio, afr.net)

Me too!

FROM “HOMEY DADDY” TO “HOME BODY”

When my children were little and eagerly begged me to pick them up when I came home, they would repeat, “Hold me, Daddy,” which actually sounded like, “Ho’ me, Daddy.”

Now, many decades later, I am very close to my wonderful border collie dog, Buddy.

When I come home, and he is eagerly waiting for me at the gate, I hug him dearly and say, “I’m home, Buddy.”

And so, that is how I’ve come from being a “HOMEY DADDY” to a “HOME BODY.”

I still love being home—I am blessed.

ON THE LEVEL

+LEVEL is not a range.

+OBEDIENCE is not a range.

+TIMING OF OBEDIENCE is not a range.

+TRUTH is not a range.

+GOD is not a range.

+LIFE is not a buffet.

At the end of life, you find that there were only two items on the menu—and you find out if you picked the right one.

FREEDOM

F R E E D O M

Physical Freedom

Political Freedom

Economic Freedom

Religious Freedom

Moral Freedom

Spiritual Freedom

I give you a universal guideline and encouragement for securing freedom, guarding and keeping it, and fighting off any who would threaten to ensnare and enslave you, from the only source of true freedom.

“For freedom Christ has set you free—do not let anyone bring you again under any yoke of bondage.”

“If Christ has set you free, you are free indeed.”

Every person and every nation that rose to freedom started from great bondage, to great faith, to great courage, to great boldness, to great strength, to great freedom, to great blessings . . .

And then, the second half of the verse above becomes so significant—great blessings include great prosperity, to great comfort, to great materialism, to great selfishness, to great apathy, to great vulnerability, to great seduction, to great apostasy, to great temptation, to great pleasure, to great sin, to great judgment, to great oppression, to great bondage again.

“Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.”

“We gave you a republic, if you can keep it.”

“Our liberty is always only one generation away from extinction.”

There is more, later, but consider how all the freedoms partially listed above have been so gloriously enjoyed in America—and precisely because we made the connection that they all come from God.

It is that simple.

It is truth—no matter what we’ve gone through in the past, and are going through now.

Please, Americans, do not throw it all away for some reckless frenzy from those who don’t know God and despise the name of Jesus in the public square.

To start the United States of America, Christians got involved completely, in everything, with everything they had.

We can do no less, against all enemies, foreign and domestic and those inside each of us whispering lies to make us less than bold.

BLIND LEADING BLIND

[somewhat cryptic in places]

The Emperor Has No Clothes.

No one seems to see the obvious.

Except one remaining innocent child.

The rest, adults and children alike, have been swamped with indoctrination, brainwashing.

What do emus, ostriches, and lgbt have in common?

Entire manufactured industry—self-perpetuating by the hype and promises and advertising—no sustaining substance in reality—many get hurt, ruined.

(At least pet rocks were relatively harmless—how about marketing dehydrated water, for the prepper who has everything.)

Perspective!

Funny?  or Fatal?     for individuals and for countries.

Definitely not “progressive.”

Claiming “rights” never changes wrong into right.

Satan’s first line in the Garden of Eden, “Did God really say?”

He’s been recycling the same old line—same old results.

God Said It.

I Believe It.

That Settles It.

Not So—That leaves nothing settled, based on whether I believe it or not.

God Said It.

THAT Settles It.

Will I open my eyes and believe it and obey.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Here is a beautiful slogan for the month of May:

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY—KEEP YOUR BABY

Please pass this on, and on . . .

NO MORE “ZONES”

The right of the people to keep and bear Arms and Bibles and Free Speech shall not be infringed.

Keep and Bear means Own and Use, anywhere.

No more Gun Free Zones.

No more Bible Free Zones.

No more Free Speech Free Zones.

THE BIG ONE

Fred Sanford didn’t avoid talking about “the big one” whenever sudden stress went over the top.

Most of us don’t talk about heart attacks—OR—emp’s—OR—stock market crashes—OR—

persecution ! ? ! ?

PERSECUTION, really, for me ?
– – –
If you are not a serious Christian, you do not think about it.
If you are a serious Christian, you choose a theology that says we’ll be gone.
Does the last three fourths of Revelation somehow not apply to us reading it now ?
Then why read it ?
– – –
Why don’t Christians in America talk about persecution?

Because persecution is so foreign to us.

Because we’ve had it so good in America, without serious persecution.

Because we don’t know how to talk about persecution.

Because we might get “persecuted” by our friends if we talk about persecution.

Because we’re so busy talking and dealing with other things.

Because we heard theology that says we’ll be out of here before persecution.

Because we don’t listen to the stories of fellow Christians persecuted around the world.

Because we don’t pray for those persecuted Christians.

Because persecution hasn’t struck close to home.

Because persecution hasn’t affected us yet.

Because we hope persecution won’t really happen here.

Because we have the first amendment to protect us from persecution.

Because we’re not ready for persecution.

Because our pastors don’t talk about persecution.

Because our pastors aren’t preparing us for persecution.

Because we don’t like the words, “All who live Godly in Christ will suffer persecution.”

If you are a Jesus follower, what if His words come true for you and me?

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so they persecuted the prophets which were before you.”

Today, many Christians around the world are reporting joy in a special, closer relationship with Jesus, experienced only during severe persecution.

Very soon, Americans who call themselves Christians will get serious about Jesus, or get out.
