WHY SAY “THE TRINITY”?

Question: Why do church leaders always say “the trinity”?

Answer:

Q (followup): Is that what the Bible says?

A:

Q: What DOES the Bible say about “the trinity”?

A:

Q: What if everyone just said what the Bible says about God?

The Bible says a lot about God—check it out.

The Bible says a lot about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We can trust God to tell us all He wants us to know about Him, in the Bible.

PETER WALKED ON WATER, TWICE

Did you know that Peter walked on water two times?

In a very bad storm on the Sea of Galilee, Peter walked on water, in faith, to Jesus (almost to Jesus).

Faith in Jesus, faith looking to Jesus, faith fixed on Jesus—WALK ON WATER !

– – –

HUGE WAVES—KNOCK YOU OVER

HUGE WIND—BLOW YOU AWAY

LOOK AT STORM—EYES OFF JESUS

FAITH OFF, FEAR ON—S I N K !

– – –

Jesus had to grab Peter’s hand fast (gravity is not slow motion).

Right there Jesus said to Peter, “Why did you doubt, O you of little faith?”

By the way, Jesus did not say, “Why did you come?” (Daddy always liked to point that out.)

– – –

Hmmm, where does that leave the amount of faith for the other eleven in the boat—only Peter really did just walk on water in faith.

Hmmm, where was Peter when Jesus pulled him back up on top of the water?

Hmmm, where was Peter after Jesus pulled him back up on top of the water?

NOT IN THE BOAT.

– – –

So, Peter walked on water again, back to the boat, holding Jesus’ hand I suppose (er, uh, Jesus holding Peter’s hand).

So, what about the storm?

Peter and Jesus walked back to the boat with HUGE WAVES and HUGE WIND—storm still full-blown.

Think about that for a bit.

– – –

After they climbed back in the boat, the storm stopped, and the disciples worshipped Jesus, “Truly, You are the Son of God.”

It’s safe to say that all twelve disciples had a lot more faith after this experience.

They faltered and failed again, but after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, they prayed and waited for the Holy Spirit, and then they “turned the world upside down.”

TALK – – – A FOUR-LETTER WORD ?

Talk is good.

Be thankful for people to talk to/with.

Just be careful to not let it become profane.

How could that happen?

– – –

Talk can be a thief.

– – –

+Talk can steal time, to keep us from doing something good.

+Talk can steal our rest.

– – –

Talking and doing are mutually exclusive.

Resting and talking do not happen at the same time.

WAR – THEN ! – – – AND NOW ?

Every time I watch a World War II movie or documentary now, I have a sickening awareness of the difference between war then and the next war now.

First, there seems to be a prevailing idea, wishful thinking, that we don’t have to go to war now.

It says there should be a way around it through negotiation and compromise.

How did that work out with Chamberlain and Hitler?—nearly cost the world our freedom!

– – –

Our experiences so far this century have further conditioned us where we can’t relate or imagine a commitment to military offensives that won wars in the past.

We are in awe when we see the shock of high-tech war conducted remotely.

Then we get weary of long-term perseverance ‘in the trenches’ to maintain the overnight gains of ‘shock and awe.”

We forget too soon when bad leaders horribly failed us in Benghazi and Afghanistan, because there are so many more disasters coming at us.

WW II warfare seems so far away, from another planet—indeed, like a movie, not real life—not like anything we might experience today.

– – –

The United States was always the powerhouse that the world could fall back on, to stop the bad guys around the world.

This country is faltering now, severely, and accounts for my sickening feeling that we will not be repeating ‘coming to the rescue’ of other people threatened by historical bullies.

Why did I just say we will not rescue the oppressed and defeat the evil again?

Because we can’t.

Because the leaders don’t want to.

Because the leaders of America today are the bullies, the bad guys, the evil.

– – –

And all the other bad actors around the world are boldly salivating over destroying America the Beautiful and devouring the remains.

There isn’t really anything left standing in their way.

– – –

The remaining good guys, the remnant, will stand and sacrifice to resist all the evil mounted against our blessed freedom, as long as we can.

We will pay a high price for believing in the right and fighting for our families, just like freedom lovers and Christians have in the past.

Those who still believe in the God of the Bible like our founding fathers did, will again find the courage to pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

It remains true that there is “no greater love than for one to lay down his life for his brothers.”

Ultimately (the bottom line), “Do not fear him who is able to destroy the body, but not the soul; rather, fear Him Who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.”

NOVEMBER 8, 2022 – – – PRAY and VOTE

Will we make it to November 8?

What will happen on that day, and after?

What could happen before November 8?

Life as we know it will change.

PRAY and VOTE

We pray against evil invading this city.

You can vote against evil invading this city.

“VENGEANCE IS MINE . . .”

“. . . , I will repay, says the Lord.”

The line before says,

“Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

So, what about all the psalms in the Bible where David lets it rip and verbally crushes his enemies, graphically so?

Actually, two things to remember in those psalms:

He’s telling God all about his trouble with his enemies.

He’s telling God to tear his enemies to pieces—that is God’s sovereignty—His prerogative.

By the end of the psalm David is thanking and praising God.

Before you think or talk about it, find and read those psalms directly—there are several.

– – –

What about all the times in the Bible where God commands the total annihilation of wicked nations?

What about America, the most God-inspired and God-blessed and most free nation in history—freedom gained by American Patriots killing British soldiers?

What about the sacrifice of thousands in Normandy that started the end of Nazi tyranny?

What about the outright destruction of hundreds of thousands of people over 75 years ago with ‘the bomb’—to stop the religion-crazed Japanese worshipping their emperor with kamikaze fervor (destined to cause ten times the loss of life)?

What about our Constitutional second amendment to stop a wayward government with guns?

– – –

What has changed ?

God hasn’t changed !

The Constitution hasn’t changed !

The price of freedom hasn’t changed !

The enemies of freedom haven’t changed !

The evil forces, in America today, driving evil people, in America today, hell-bent on destroying our freedom to enslave us, in America today, haven’t changed !

– – –

What has changed?

We have.

American Christians and conservatives are continuously constrained to not advocate or condone or initiate violence.

Millions of law-abiding Americans with guns are willing and able to take back our country and restore our freedom.

But what has changed?

The evil forces devoted to our demise have gained control so rapidly, that most good guys simply don’t know what to do now—except having a shootout when armed government officials show up at their door—to avoid unlawful arrest or re-education camps or languishing in jail indefinitely like the January 6 detainees.

– – –

What if . . .?

What if the election in a few weeks, and the impact of the election (immediately or in two months, depending on the results), what if that does not restore America?

What if good people in government do not have the backbone to stand and act—and yes, once again, “pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor”?

– – –

There will be widespread bloodshed in the streets across this land.

– – –

Leadership and organization for a legitimate freedom-restoration revolution has been silenced by surveillance, picking off good people from their families in their homes and on the streets, without reprisal or redress.

+Without reprisal—no one is there to stop the free reign of unlawful arrests, that are more frequent now—stop them with force.

+Without redress—constitutional process of justice for Americans is replaced with dictator tactics of abuse without fair trial.

– – –

Back to the title—vengeance belongs to God.

What about our discomfort when God exercises His vengeance?

What about our struggle in recent years over the price of freedom, when it may again require violence to defeat evil to stay free?

We have become too much dependent on elections alone to maintain our freedom here at home.

Elections have accomplished that up to now, when combined with moral solidarity and prayer to the God who “made and preserved us a nation.” We are not there anymore.

We have depended on the government military to defend freedom abroad.

Overnight, our military has been stripped of leadership ready to go-to-bat with whatever it takes to defeat evil and keep us free.

– – –

It has never been more important to exercise the second amendment to take back control of a wayward government.

It has never been more difficult to exercise the second amendment to take back control of a wayward government.

We must remember, and apply, what the founding fathers publicly and repeatedly declared—dependence on Divine Providence for wisdom, words, and engagement.
