MY GOOD BUDDY and MIRACLE MILES

It looks like this is going to be trucker testimonies shared over cb radios.

Well, I have high regard for truckers and their communication over the air waves.

The main reason I could never make it as a truck driver, although I had some significant local delivery jobs, was the condition of narcolepsy. You just can’t override it.

This article is going to be about two miracle testimonies.

Buddy and Miles are two amazing dogs that each had a life-threatening injury to a rear leg, about six or seven years apart, before they were together.

Buddy has been my dearest border collie for over a decade—we are close.

Years ago he was excitedly twirling around in front of my son’s truck, too close, and got run over.

I was not home, and the news devastated me, not knowing if he was going to survive.

I prayed, just that he would make it.

He did, but it seemed to take forever just to see him get around.

He loved to run, sometimes up to thirty miles an hour, and now he couldn’t even walk.

I can’t explain it—his healing is a miracle.

He runs again, not thirty miles an hour now, but he wants me to ride my bicycle fast, so he can run fast.

An interesting observation:

When he walks, he uses the back leg, rather normal.

When he trots, he often carries the back leg.

When he runs full speed, you can’t tell anything is wrong with the leg.

Buddy and I were very close for years, but as you may guess, now we are CLOSE !

We are both getting up in years, and we do face the reality of slowing down a bit.

Miles joined us a little over a year ago, my wife’s dog.

He was amazing to me from day one, because he had so many traits of a border collie—in reality, almost a clone of Buddy—so we got close.

One day I was pulling my sixteen foot trailer behind my van.

As I went around a curve in my gravel driveway, Miles ran out of room between the trailer tire and cactus next to the road.

The gutwrenching devastation of running over this new treasured dog was too much.

His injuries were even more life-threatening than Buddy’s.

He got x-rays, and the vet gave no hope—said he never saw a dog recover from such injuries, including internal as well as a rear leg like Buddy.

While others made plans for putting Miles down, I prayed and pleaded with God to have mercy on me and the dog.

He couldn’t eat, and had to be carried outside to go.

Days without hope, but I prayed and hoped.

Sometimes God just chooses to say yes, and heal—slowly, so we don’t forget to keep praying, and keep thanking.

Then one day, he could stand a few seconds, then he could go without being held up.

The days and weeks not being able to walk were so hard, because Miles was wired to fly like the wind, in total delight, in love of life, just like Buddy.

The little steps of progress were so thrilling—walking a few steps before exhaustion, picking up a stick, wanting to run if only he could, then actually running a little, then a little more (rationing him, to not hurt himself), wanting to get in the car (with help), getting in the car without help, running faster, chasing a ball, and now tearing up the turf in the house and outside, clearing all five steps on the way out—no restrictions.

Miles and I got close right after I met him—now we’re CLOSE, but different than Buddy and me.

Miles is still young, and he can’t imagine ever having to slow down.

It’s amazing, the times God chooses to use a precious creature to touch our hearts and lives profoundly, and sometimes two at the same time.

Indeed—-My Good Buddy and Miracle Miles—thank You, Jesus.

We do well to observe and remember—the most contemporary, held in highest esteem, may well be temporary.

It takes more than tracking polls of popularity and trends with the most followers, to discern what is going to last.

It takes historical perspective to find and keep a rock foundation for life and family and country, to prevent hysterical perspective from following ‘new’ promises of utopia with old consequences of tyranny.

Sadly, devastatingly, accurate historical perspective is seriously out of fashion today—open opportunity for oppression.

– – –

Is there anything still to be found in today’s contemporary world, that is not temporary?

Yes, it is to be found, but not found in the world.

What about Values?

What about Truth?

What about Family?

What about Marriage?

What about the Bible?

What about God?

– – –

Most of that list is despised in most places now.

But, the Light of Truth will shine brighter even in this present growing darkness, if . . .

. . . if anyone who holds those six foundations holds them high, holds them without compromise, holds them against opposition, holds them “with persecution.”

If you are one of the ‘anyone,’ Mark 10:1-31 gives the rest of the perspective on the title above.

RAISED RIGHT

A caller to American Family Radio described his upbringing, with strong values of family and right and wrong.

When he was a teenager, some friends invited him to join them breaking into a house.

He told them “no,” and said to himself:

If I was caught for doing something like that, I would beg the cops to take me to jail—not home!

MY NEAR MURDER EXPERIENCE

It’s been quite a few years, and I can’t say I remember, but it is so real, and I am so thankful to be alive now, every day.

The first part of my life was wonderful and secure, as anyone would expect for a young child.

Then one day something was terribly wrong.

I didn’t understand why my mother took me to the doctor.

I was not sick, and my mother was not sick either.

The doctor did a simple checkup on my mother.

And the doctor did a checkup on me, checking my heartbeat, my size, and how I was growing.

That much was not so terribly wrong—just a feeling that my mother knew something was wrong.

– – –

Then the terrible wrong started happening.

THE DOCTOR TRIED TO KILL ME—RIGHT THERE IN HIS OFFICE ! ! !

AND MY MOTHER LET HIM DO IT ! ! !

– – –

Then another unthinkable happened.

Something went terribly wrong for the doctor.

HE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL IN TRYING TO KILL ME ! ! !

– – –

According to my mother, the doctor was very shook up, and scared to death, and scrambled to cover up his attempted murder.

And my mother was equally scared, and looked for a way to get out of this terrible situation and get it behind her.

But she couldn’t, and that’s why I can tell you parts of my story.

– – –

One of the nurses who helped the doctor commit numerous murders every day, successfully without incident, saw that I was alive, and couldn’t help herself but try to keep me alive.

SHE WAS SUCCESSFUL ! ! !

Everything had to be secretive, because no one had to know in the doctor’s office that I was alive, and the nurse depended on this job to provide for her family.

So she told the doctor she would find a place for me, without telling anyone what happened.

– – –

But my mother knew.

So the nurse talked to my mother privately in recovery.

My mother told the nurse of a place someone told her she could have taken me after I was born, with people who could take me as their child.

The nurse called, and in a matter of minutes someone came for me and gave me the emergency medical help I needed.

I recovered from most of the injuries from my attempted murder, and in a few weeks I was in a loving home with a devoted mother and father, who gave me the life I now have.

– – –

And, the rest of the story, so far . . .

The nurse and my mother agreed to stay in touch, and I am thankful for that.

And my new mother and father agreed to their request to make contact after a time, and I’m thankful for that.

My parents openly talked about my early life a little at a time, and when I was ten, we met with my mother and with the nurse who saved my life.

I was ready, because my new parents had raised me to be thankful to God for life, and put my trust in Jesus for everything.

So, not only was the meeting, the reunion, a blessing beyond measure, I was able to let my love for Jesus bless my mother and start the healing she so desperately needed, with her own new relationship with Jesus.

– – –

And that is just the beginning—my story, now, and how it started a couple decades ago.

– – –

– – –

You’ve heard stories with a turning point from evil to good, with the phrase, “But God . . .”

YES ! YES ! YES !

That’s my story—But God . . . did not want me to die.

I am determined to live every day of my life to the glory of God, to the best of my ability.

I am determined to live every day of my life to do everything I can to prevent others from such a near murder experience, knowing that for most it does not include “near.”

And I am determined to make a difference in any lives affected by such experiences, just like the nurse, my mother, my new parents, were blessed—and you the reader, can be blessed with Jesus.

– – –

The nurse who saved my life could not continue ending the life of others like me by assisting the doctor. She quit that job, and got a job with blessings at the center that found my new parents.

– – –

When I started writing this, I had no idea I would get so involved. You see, I’m sharing it on behalf of someone else—in fact, someone I don’t know. The intensity is so strong, like it was my own story. I pray it will impact someone with an untold story—a child, a mother, a father, a nurse, a doctor, a volunteer for life.

“MY RIGHT” or “MY LIFE”

Is it “my right” to have an abortion?

OR

Is it “my life” to not be aborted?

– – –

Women scream for abortion.

Little women and little men scream for life, silently.

– – –

How can anyone separate pregnancy from a living human being inside?

Who was in your mommy’s tummy before YOU were born?

How long were you in your mommy’s tummy before YOU were born?

Do you believe YOU had no life for those nine months?

Do you believe YOU had no rights for those nine months, including no right to life?

– – –

Who gives a woman rights—who gives a mother rights—without giving the person inside equal rights?

– – –

Bottom line—little people growing in the womb are just as passionate to live, as big people outside are passionate to kill.

I will do my part to defend the defenseless little people.

WHOSE LIFE IS WORTH LIVING ?

How sweet to hold a newborn baby

And feel the pride and joy he brings.

But greater still the calm assurance

This child can face uncertain days

Because He lives.

Because He lives, they can face tomorrow.

Because He lives, all fear is gone.

Because we know, He holds their future.

Their life is worth the living,

Just because He lives.

“HALF SLAVE, HALF FREE” – – – HALF DEATH, HALF LIFE ?

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free.

I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided.

It will become all one thing or all the other.

—–Abraham Lincoln, June 16,1858 after the Illinois Republicans chose him as their candidate for U. S. Senator

– – –

Indeed, how telling is that quote for our country today.

We have quickly become unsustainably divided in America.

The emphasis on race has been used beyond reality to whip up division, because it is an old, convenient means to weaken a country for takeover.

What is far more significant in our current division and the very survival of our divided America, is what God says about our killing babies—for fifty years across the country, and now dividing us state by state for life or death.

– – –

A day after Roe has been overturned, WE THANK GOD ! ! !, and we thank Donald Trump for his three Supreme Court appointees that made yesterday possible ! ! !

We know how much more work is required to abolish abortion across America.

Judgment has already started falling for the blood of sixty million babies.

Now the question, “How long can this country stand, half ‘death’ and half ‘life’?”

Rephrasing from Lincoln’s speech:

“‘A house divided against itself cannot stand.

I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half death and half life.”

DO WE SHARE THE FAITH?

Do we claim to follow Jesus?

Do we assume that we follow Jesus?

If we do not freely share the faith when we get together with relatives and friends who also claim or assume they follow Jesus, do we indeed share the faith?

WHAT DOES YOUR SACRIFICE COST?

“Offer to God thanksgiving—then pay your vows to the Most High.”

If you claim (or assume) that you follow Jesus, do you have any vows to God—any sacrifices that cost you?

If you claim to follow Jesus—who knows that, and sees that, among your friends, relatives, and co-workers?

King David offered a sacrifice to God (a literal one), and refused to let the materials for the sacrifice be donated, however willingly.

He said, “I will not offer anything to God that costs me nothing.”

The question for us now, “Will I follow Jesus in a way that costs me and contrasts everything around me—and prepare to pay the price? And will I study my Bible every day to find out how?”

The hazards of comfortable that I have referred to before, are now upon us.

HEART – FAMILY – CHURCH – NATION

A nation cannot be right with God if it does not acknowledge God.

A nation cannot be blessed by God if it does not trust in God.

A nation cannot trust in God if its people do not spend time with God.

A national altar is where the leader and the people bow before God to repent of sin and acknowledge His sovereignty and accept His direction in everything.

We cannot truly have a national altar without a God-pleasing church altar.

We cannot have a church altar without a family altar at home.

We cannot have a family altar without a heart altar, where each person spends time with God daily, reading the Bible and praying.

In this country we had all that from the start, and for hundreds of years.

IN GOD WE TRUSTED

GOD BLESSED AMERICA

But now . . .

IN EVIL WE TRUST

EVIL DESTROYS AMERICA

We have come from: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

To: “The wicked shall be turned into hell—and all the nations that forget God.”

– – –

So, can the United States of America turn back from precariously plunging over the cliff of calamity?

Yes!

How?

I just now edited this article to make everything singular instead of plural.

The heart—my heart—your heart—one heart at a time changes and turns to God in repentance and surrender—heart altar.

Then the family—one family at a time worships God together in the home, and becomes the most powerful force for good, for change, in the world—because God honors what pleases Him—family altar.

Then the church—one preacher at a time—returns to the secret that made America great within a half century of our beginning—“pulpits aflame with righteousness”—church altar.

Then we can again have a national altar—with leaders who call the people to national days of prayer and repentance and humbly pleading with God to restore our trust in Him and our God-Blessed land.

“In the end, the state of the Union comes down to the character of the people. … I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors, her ample rivers, and it was not there. I sought for it in the fertile fields, and boundless prairies, and it was not there. I sought it in her rich mines, and vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.”—–Alexis de Tocqueville, French historian

(Word of acknowledgment to Daddy for emphasizing the national altar depending on the church altar, the family altar, and in turn the heart altar.)
