God is not bound by national defiance against Him.
God is bound by our silence and caution.

It’s not comfortable for me to write this:
The opposite of bold is coward.
The first in the Revelation 21 list of eight who practice evil, headed to the lake of fire, is cowards.

RAPTURE

“The Great Escape before The Great Tribulation”

Instead of comforting, there is something theologically scary about that repeated statement.
Fear of tribulation as motive to trust in Jesus surpassed fear of hell—stated clearly by not mentioning hell over tribulation.

Often repeated logic concludes rapture before Tribulation, because church is not mentioned after the first three chapters of Revelation, when the horrors are described in detail.

Likewise using logic, why should Christians read a significant part of the Bible that does not apply to us because we won’t be here ?
Every time someone offered to voluntarily address that question, the answer was a lame non-answer, with a rush back to more familiar territory, very much like the pattern of seasoned politicians.

HORSE KNEW SUNDAY

Yes, I am able to share something for fun—in fact, two items.

This farmer was good to his animals and took care of them, just like a farmer today takes care of his tools and his tractor.
He also faithfully remembered the Sabbath, Sunday—did no work and went to church.

Early one Sunday it rained very hard, and his Model T got stuck in the mud before he got out of his driveway.
So, he harnessed his big, strong horse with plenty of power to pull the car out of the ditch.
But the horse refused.
What ? The horse never refused to work before, and the farmer never had to force the dependable, trusted animal.
Talking to the horse didn’t work.
Talking to God did—he got an answer.
The farmer went back in the house, took off his Sunday clothes, and put on his work clothes.
The horse immediately, willingly pulled the car out of the ditch.
And the farmer thanked God, and thanked the horse.

YOU CAN KNOW

“If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.”

You want to know what’s what ?
Start doing what’s right ?
Do what God wants !

NO ‘BACK-TALK’ TO GOD

Most of the time, knowing the will of God for your life, for today, is not really a mystery.
The question is more often a matter of willingness to do what God has already made clear.

When you wonder if you should really do what God put in your mind, consider this:
— Asking God again if He wants you to do something, can easily be back-talking to God.
— Delayed obedience is disobedience.
— Reviewing your undivided time alone with God today—that is your greatest confirmation to know what He wants you to do.
— Doing is the most powerful reinforcement for confidence, psychologically and spiritually.

MORE CHRISTIANS ?

QUESTION:

A – Were there more Christians in ‘Christian America’ ?

B – Are there more Christians in ‘Post-Christian America’ ?

C – Will there be more Christians in ‘Anti-Christian America’ ?

ANSWER:

If you go back a couple centuries, after the Great Awakenings, the answer is ‘A’.

If you go back less than a century, after prosperity led to comfort and materialism, the answer is ‘C’.

America experienced profound Christian growth when God blessed our publicly stated trust and dependence on Him, from the beginning, and in crises.

In the last half of the twentieth century, and now, we have pushed “In God We Trust” to past tense—“In God We Trusted”—even trying to erase that from our history.

“God Bless America” is no longer our national prayer—and likewise past tense—“God Blessed America”—even ashamed of that from our history.

– – –

How do we take a census to count the number of Christians in America, in the past, in the present, in the future (or anywhere) ?

How does God take the same census ?

– – –

God does not count the numbers, until He counts the commitment.
God counts our suffering, even if He has to send it, to count our name on His list.

IT’S NOT ABOUT SAVING AMERICA

— Leaders on the left don’t care about saving America.
In fact, they clearly want to destroy America.
And their policies and actions consistently accomplish their goal.

— Some leaders on the right talk well about saving America.
They continuously and vigorously say what the current leadership is doing wrong and what they should be doing.
All their talk is not doing a bit of good—not changing anything—serving mostly as an excuse why they can’t do what should be done.
But their track record says they could do more when they have the chance.
Passion, even to sacrifice their own political standing, for the country, is weak in actions, occasionally strong in speeches.

— Other leaders on the right, Christian leaders, call us fervently to pray for revival, because that’s the only thing that can save America.
In the meantime, storm clouds gathering on the horizon are now upon us.
Point of reference here:
Did sincere Israelites pray for revival and for God to save them, on the way to Babylon ?

It’s time to change our prayers.

Find out what persecuted Christians around the world are praying for now.
Mostly they are not praying for deliverance, but faithfulness and boldness.
We will soon have more in common with them than they have with us now.
Think about that.

We will soon have more in common with them than they have with us now.

WORSE THAN PERSECUTION

Question:
What is worse than the coming persecution of Christians, in America ?

Answer:
Avoiding the persecution !

What ? !

How ?

+ You can avoid persecution for being a Christian by never letting anyone know you are a Christian.
Right now, who knows you are a Christian ?

+ You can avoid persecution for being a Christian by fitting in with everything around you, by including everyone around you, and by being included by everyone.
What is your position on inclusion ?

+ You can avoid persecution for being a Christian by never saying anything about Jesus to anyone who may be offended.
What is your position on speaking the truth about Jesus is the only way to God ?

+ You can avoid persecution for being a Christian by saying anything you need to say, to satisfy anyone who could hurt you.
Have you thought ahead of time what you will say if you are confronted for being a Christian ?

“If you deny Me before men, I will deny you before My Father in heaven.”—–Jesus

“But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.”—–Jesus

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”—–Jesus

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake.”—–Jesus

NO MORE – NO MORE

“No more compromise.
No more wasted days.”

WHEN THE HISTORY BOOKS ARE WRITTEN

History records the rise and fall of people and nations.
And if we don’t try to avoid the factual record, we can read that history records the parallel patterns of why they fell.

Germany’s downfall into nazism is not a mystery or an anomaly.
The church lost their conviction to stand for right and stand against wrong.*
The church dropped the ball.
The church compromised.
The church thought they could be compatible with evil.
Hitler put his hand on the shoulder of church leaders and promised that he would take care of them (literally, in a meeting, in person).
He ‘took care of them’ alright—and the church was never a threat to his plan after that.
Because it was too late.

– – –

When the history books are written on America, they will show the parallels between the German church of the 1930’s and the American church today.
Evil abounds and evil grows in the culture and in leadership, and the church is watching it happen at best, and unaware at worst.

No matter, the last obstacle to overcome, for evil to completely take over, is now crumbling in complacency.
The church in America could make the difference again, even at this late hour in America’s history—but the church is too comfortable in America with the way it is !

So, what is going to happen ?
God’s full judgment, restrained so far, for the prayers of a faithful remnant, will fall on America now, in full horror.
God’s people, His true followers, will no longer pray for God to bless America or for God to save America.
Christians (for real) will suffer severely, soon.
We don’t have guaranteed promises of escape.
We do have guaranteed promises that He will be with us through the most difficult time of our life.

And, God may give us unexpected opportunities to share our eternal hope in Jesus with so many in despair without hope.
