For Now

For Our Soul
For Forever

I could leave it at that, for your reflection.
Or I could add this, to direct your reflection:

Most everyone knows how eating wrong or eating right has consequences for our bodies—maybe not immediate, but long-term for sure.

Most people don’t stop to consider how the ‘long-term’ concerning our body is really, really the short-term for our soul.
No matter how we take care of our body, or don’t take care of it, it is all just for now.
The effect of what we consume for our soul is indeed forever, whether we stop to think about it and evaluate the health of our soul, or not.
Not taking in ‘bad stuff’, or taking in ‘good stuff’, may not secure the future well-being of our soul.
Only one thing guarantees the health, the very life of our soul forever—

Eating Right for our soul comes only from the Bible—taking in Jesus and His food for eternal life—

“Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain.
He washed it white as snow.”

Eat and Drink and get your name written in heaven, now.

One – – – We all know there is God, The One True God, no matter what we say, no matter what we claim, no matter what we invent to substitute for God.

Two – – – We all know there is more to us after this life.
We know there is LIFE after life – or – there is DEATH after death.
We know there is HEAVEN after this life – or – there is HELL after death.

— your understanding
— your abilities
— your figuring it out
— your health
— your strength
— your goals
— your position
— your success
— your money
— your insurance
— your retirement
— your . . .

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

If we do not stop to consciously, verbally, recognize our dependence on God, our trust in Him “in all our ways”, in every detail—then we are not trusting in the Lord with all our heart.

ALL – – – or – – – NOTHING

D.O.M.E.

1– There comes a time when you can’t afford to waste what you have—your resources, your energy, your time, your mind, your emotions, your relationships.

Now, the same statement, with one word added and underlined:

2– There comes a time when you can’t afford to waste what you have left—your resources, your energy, your time, your mind, your emotions, your relationships.

As we get older, we start facing that second statement, with the word, left, because we must accept less in many areas.
The key is dealing with it without adding more stress.

For anyone out there who feels you’re losing it, a little or a lot,
we need the
Department
Of
Mental
Efficiency

Find waste, fraud, theft, inefficiency, in the use of mental energy, especially as the available supply becomes a premium.

We need D.O.M.E.
But who can we find to do what needs to be done—identify our unaffordable mental inefficiencies and give practical suggestions to address them.

I believe it must be done.
I feel it can be done.
