BAN THE BIBLE

There are now school boards in America considering banning the Bible in school libraries.
A couple students complain, and this happens.

It’s not going to end there.
Is anything stopping it ?
God’s power can—His power in us.
What will it take ?

“You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood, striving against sin.”
– – –
American Christians, Preachers, Patriots, must learn something that is now foreign to us in the 21st century, something widespread in the 18th century, when preachers produced passion from the pulpit that inspired the American Revolution, as well as the Biblical foundation for The United States Constitution.
When the preachers finished preaching on Sunday morning, they took off their robes, picked up their guns, and led militia training in the afternoon, with their uniform already on.

What does that look like today ?
Does that exist today ?
Do Christians today make a difference standing against tyranny, “standing against sin”, if we “have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood”?

The legislative, democratic process did not give us our freedom 250 years ago—Bible-based beliefs and the Revolution did.

Today, the legislative, democratic process will not restore our freedom—leadership in Bible-based beliefs and the Second Amendment will.

Pray for:
Believers to Believe it
and
Preachers to Preach it.

Now the other half of the equation:
+revival, individual
+revival, national (that depends on individual revival first)
+believing God will take care of me (us?)
+telling people about Jesus

I used ‘equation’ for a reason.
It takes both sides to make an equation.

The American Revolution was preceded by a Great Awakening, that made us spiritually strong—made the people strong, made the preachers strong, made the patriot warriors strong.
It took both sides of that equation then, to make America.
Same thing before the Civil War, to save America.
Same thing before the World Wars, to save the world for freedom.

Now, for the coming showdown for America—which is here—instead of a spiritual awakening, we have spiritual darkness enveloping the country.

George Washington and other leaders testified to the hand of God intervening repeatedly, supernaturally, throughout the War—
AND, they fought in real battles, against real people, and killed real British Redcoats.

They had both parts of the equation:
+they relied on God’s intervention
+they used their guns

Today—
America’s leaders don’t depend on God.
Americans don’t use their guns—where would we point them ?

Can anyone answer that question ?
Meanwhile, the enemies are forging ahead with the destruction of this country.

SURELY, someone can lead the revolution—action that makes a difference—not just words describing the dire predicament ! ! !

IT’S NOT THE FIRST TIME . . .

Or is it ?

General review of history, 6000 years :
+A man and a woman make a marriage and have children to make a family.
+Culture recognizes the importance of marriage and family.
+Government protects families, and so protects society.
+Everyone and every civilization knows there are Men and Women—Male and Female—obvious from birth.

+Any culture that messes with these basics hits the trash heap of history.
–bad in Noah’s day—flooded out
–bad in Sodom’s day—nuked to nothing
–bad in Rome’s day—rotted by ‘bread and circuses’—overrun by Vandals
–bad in Nazi Germany—killing for superior race—blown to bits

So, is the crazy world today, with evil exploding everywhere, anything unique ?
The evil is not unique, not the first time.
But the pace is unprecedented.
The push seems possessed, to force evil on every square inch of society, and the world, fast.

The Bible predicts, declares the fact, that “In the last days evil will get worse and worse.”
It will be “like the days of Noah . . . wickedness was very great.”
We have no idea what it was really like then, but it was bad enough for God to wipe it out.
So, since the same God is in charge, He will lower the boom again, just not with another flood.

Not the first time ?
No comfort in that ! ! !

This is our time.
Like it or not—we will live it.

“Therefore, since everything will be destroyed, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness.”

‘EVOLUTION’ OF GOD ?

“The Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.”—–Genesis 1
“God said, let Us make man in Our Image.”—–Genesis 1

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”—–John 1

Three men visited Abraham, and the text says, “The Lord appeared to him.”—–Genesis 18

Jacob wrestled with a man all night, and said, “I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.”

“The Commander of the army of the Lord” appeared to Joshua.

In Jacob’s dream, “I am the God of Bethel, where you made a vow to Me.”

Moses at the burning bush, “God called to him out of the bush. I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

I have shared here a sampling of what the Bible tells us about God, and what it tells us about the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
During the 1500 years of recording the Bible—and the 4000 years of history that it records—there is an increasing revelation of God, at His discretion.
We are blessed with the complete revelation of God in the Bible, at His discretion.
I have just scratched the surface of the wealth, the gold mine, of what God chose to tell us about Himself.

I place all, ALL, of my emphasis for studying and learning about God on this verse, and others like it :
“You—search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about Me.”—–Jesus, in John 5

Now, I would like the reader to stop.
Look up the Bible verses printed here, and let them lead you to the countless others about God. Discover what God says about Himself—including Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.—be inspired, and satisfied !

The Bible tells us enough about God, without additions or explanations from anyone.

History, church history is loaded with additions and explanations—from educated and respected theologians—elevated to Biblical status, and maintained for hundreds and thousands of years.

God revealed Himself through history, and He recorded in the Bible what He wanted us to know.
Man is not satisfied that God told us enough, so he adds, and adds—just like the religious leaders of Jesus’ day had added to God’s Word of the Old Testament—with His harshest rebuke.

God is not subject to evolution, just like His creation is not !

Man added trinity.
Man added indulgences.
Man added rituals promising ‘right with God.’
Man added last rites.
Man added blanket forgiveness.
Man added church hierarchy, with power.
Man added status for money.
Man added special qualifications proving special relationships with God.
Man added substitutes for personal Bible study.
Man added volume as substitute for power.
Man added “Did God really say” this is sin?

WHEN RIGHT ANSWERS AREN’T ENOUGH

There are many people who depend on having the right answers, who believe they have the right answers, who can tell you the right answers, who ascribe to organizations that give them the right answers—organizations that prove they have the right answers by their power, and the dedication and numbers of their followers.

Sheeple—people who blindly accept and follow what any of these say and teach as truth—will also follow and obey other tyrannies that lead to destruction and death and hell.

+Catholic Church
+Protestant Denominations
+Big Corporations
+Psychology

You may think you have everything you need, but there comes a point for every person when . . .

What about when answers aren’t enough, from all these sources ?
Many people do not realize that these sources are often from man, and fall short of answering the deepest questions.

When answers aren’t enough, there is Jesus.

You have faced the mountains of desperation
You have climbed, you have fought, you have won
But this valley that lies coldly before you
Casts a shadow you cannot overcome

And just when you thought you had it all together
You knew every verse to get you through
But this time the sorrow broke more than just your heart
And reciting all those verses just won’t do

When answers aren’t enough, there is Jesus
He is more than just an answer to your prayer
And your heart will find a safe and peaceful refuge
When answers aren’t enough, He is there

Instead of asking why did it happen
Think of where it can lead you from here
And as your pain is slowly easing, you can find a greater reason
To live your life triumphant through the tears

THEOLOGIANS OR THEOS LOGOS

Do you depend on theologians to ‘explain God’,* or do you learn about God (theos) straight from His Word (logos) ?

* Man explaining God is an oxymoron and an impossibility—like a snail explaining a carnival ride from a turtle’s back.
Better let God explain God, and leave it at that.
Be satisfied with what He said about Himself (a lot—enough), and don’t try to add to it.

DENOMINATIONAL DAMAGE

Many churches take away the liberty of free-will accepting Jesus—and replace it with formulas, rituals, ‘classes’—to make another ‘member’ (whether a true Christian or not).
Jesus described the religious leaders of His day the same way, with stronger words than we would use.

“Whenever you make a convert, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.”

We tend to think we have progressed and think the words of Jesus don’t apply to us.
