FITNESS, TEMPTATION, WORRY

FITNESS—self discipline–doing what I must do.

TEMPTATION—self control—not doing what I must not do.

WORRY—self resignation—accepting what I cannot do.

WIFE TOWARD HUSBAND

I accept my husband’s leadership in our home.

Meaning–I yield to my husband’s decisions, without reservations.

or

I accept my husband’s leadership in our home, if he . . .

Meaning—I can’t commit to literally following my husband’s leadership, when doing so doesn’t match with what I say or think.

FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY . . .

“The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.”

+Prosperity Worship—American churchgoers are the perfect candidates for blending the American dream of success with evil spiritual promises.

+Cheap China Products—The lure of getting more stuff for less has trapped us in the jaws of the greatest evil empire in the world.

+American Church Impotence—The church’s wholescale participation in the money system of the culture has canceled the church’s power to speak out against evil in the culture.

+Vaccine Mandates—Lots of money and lots of power are driving the evil motivation for all the mandates, and the eager capitulation to comply.

+Dictatorial Insurance—The motivations of fear and getting more than you spend, create fertile ground for evil to monopolize control through insurance.

+Portfolio Idolatry—Laying up treasures on earth is the epitome of the love of money, because it is evil to ignore the words of Jesus, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal. Do lay up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not corrupt, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For, where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

STAND UP NOW (re-post 8-20-21)

On Friday, August 6, at the capitol in Lansing, MI—a protest against the mandated covid vaccine.

The leader of the protest, interviewed on AFR (on Sandy Rios In The Morning), said,

“We must experience some pain personally, to successfully revolt against the government.”

GIVE THE DEVIL A LITTLE . . .

“Give the devil a little finger, and he’ll take the whole hand.”

Daddy often quoted that saying, that fact.

The first time I heard him use it was when I was in fourth grade in a Christian school, operated by the church we attended.

The church leadership lost interest, passion, for supporting the school, and voted to cancel the seventh and eighth grades the next school year.

So the saying came true a year later when I finished the fifth grade, and they closed the whole school.

The Godlessness I experienced in public school the next year grieved Daddy severely, the full extent of which I could never know.

But the lifetime effect gave me a passion for Christian education (church schools, private Christian schools, home schools) that likely exceeds Daddy’s.

He ‘gave his last drop of blood’ for Christian education, and so have I (as a student, as a teacher, as a parent, as an advocate).

My dearest memory of the last few years of Daddy’s life, when I was teaching fourth grade in Hollywood, Florida, was his repeated comment on the phone, “I’m so glad you’re telling these little lambs about Jesus.”

That kept this teacher going, on a mission commissioned by God Himself.

Then, after my years of teaching, I designed and manufactured and installed playground equipment for 25 years, applying my intense insight in child development.

I asked God to provide two things:

+enough money to feed my four children, and

+enough money to send them to Christian schools through eighth grade.

He did—well-fed, healthy, outstanding athletes—and 38 combined years in Christian schools with full tuition and other costs totaling well over a hundred thousand dollars.

And only two years during that time did my income reach twenty-five thousand dollars.

I share that to show (through three generations) the power of God, and the passion of God, and the provision of God—honoring what Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them.”

PREDICTIONS—PAST AND PRESENT

January 11, 2020, on AWordforThought.com, I made a prediction that was rather obvious, but not so pleasant.

Please look and read the entire article:

2020—A CLEAR SPIRITUAL VISION

This was the prediction:

In 2020 —It will become harder to be a Christian, but it will be easier to tell who is a Christian.

Wow! What a year.

By the end of the year I realized a further insight from that statement.

It is getting easier to tell who is a Christian BECAUSE it is getting harder to be a Christian.

At the beginning of 2021, I predicted that:

By the middle of the year, we would start seeing limits on some products and services.

By the end of the year, we will see gas and diesel between $4 and $5 a gallon.

– – –

Now, in light of the ominous indicators for upsets in the next election, I predict that those currently in power in Washington will make all their moves before then, to achieve permanent control of America.

Fellow Americans, fellow Christians, fasten your seat belts—on your knees!

Then stand up, and speak up—speak the truth whenever you hear fake, false, or phony ideas.
