VERBAL HIDING – – – JUST LIKE LATIN

“Trust me”—just as dangerous from theologians as from politicians.

Quoting/Trusting/Revering early church fathers set the stage for the church developing exclusive standing on “understanding God”, and hiding the Bible in Latin, so people depended on what church leaders said rather than reading/studying/understanding the Bible directly, for themselves.

One example:
This has persisted to this day through holding onto and revering trinity and all its gobbledygook ‘explanations’—or lack thereof because the impossibility thereof.

Why can’t anyone see the theological “emperors have no clothes” ?

COMPLAIN LESS – – – EXPLAIN LESS

“It is not your job to explain what God is doing in your life.”
—–James Dobson

Apply the above to your life.

+ Is it not true that all complaining and all explaining is based on our concern about what others think of us ?
+ Is it not true that our life should be based on our concern about what God thinks of us ?
+ And what does God think of us—what does He expect of us ?

Faithfulness is what God expects.
“Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”

“The fear of man brings a snare.”

“Whoever trusts in the Lord will be safe.”

EVERY PERSON KNOWS TWO THINGS

Everyone who ever lived—everyone alive now—everybody knows two things automatically—

One – – – We all know there is God, The One True God, no matter what we say, no matter what we claim, no matter what we invent to substitute for God.

Two – – – We all know there is more to us after this life.
We know there is LIFE after life – or – there is DEATH after death.
We know there is HEAVEN after this life – or – there is HELL after death.

We all know this, regardless of . . .

CONTENT ?

“I will be content . . . “

OR

“I am content.”

– – –

Take time to reflect.

Wait on God.

“Trust in the Lord, . . .”
. . . don’t lean on your . . .
— your anything
— your thinking
— your understanding
— your abilities
— your figuring it out
— your health
— your strength
— your goals
— your position
— your success
— your money
— your insurance
— your retirement
— your . . .

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

If we do not stop to consciously, verbally, recognize our dependence on God, our trust in Him “in all our ways”, in every detail—then we are not trusting in the Lord with all our heart.

ALL – – – or – – – NOTHING

“Be still, and know that I AM God.”

SAFE ? or DANGEROUS ?

Jesus – – – Safe ? or Dangerous ?
Following Jesus – – – Safe ? or Dangerous ?
Your Life – – – Safe ? or Dangerous ?
– – –
Safe is Dangerous, for a Christian.

MORE OPPOSITION TO TRUMP THIS TIME – – – WHY ?

— Because this time he’s getting more done, quickly.

— Because this time the left knows he is jeopardizing their agenda to take down America—MAGA makes them mad.

— Because this time he repeatedly acknowledges God–
+ “I was saved by God to make America great again.
I believe that.”—–President Donald Trump to joint session of Congress on March 4, 2025
+ Palm Sunday 2025—his message on Truth Social (a must read, search PALM SUNDAY on this site)
+ Palm Sunday 2025—his Presidential Proclamation (a must read, search PALM SUNDAY on this site)
+ Faith Office in White House
+ Administration Task Force to stop persecution against Christians (initiated yesterday by attorney general Pam Bondi with a number of cabinet officials)

THREAT ? or HARMLESS ?

“Why are Teslas getting burned and Trump attacked ?
Why are churches not getting burned and pastors not attacked ?
Because churches and pastors are not the threat that they should be.”
—–Steve Deace, on afr

DOES GOD FIT ?

We are not called to make God fit anyone’s thinking, to make anybody comfortable.

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

“Do not fear—be strong and courageous.”
—–God, to Joshua, the new leader of Israel, after Moses

DEATH AND TAXES

When you’re young–
— Taxes, ever-present
— Death, not so much

When you’re older–
— Taxes, still ever-present
— Death, yes also ever-present
