THANK YOU, TED CRUZ—THANK YOU, RONALD REAGAN—NO THANKS TO YOU, BHOB*

Thank you, Senator Ted Cruz, for pointing out the historical perspective when BHOB* spoke in Germany about our voluntary arms reduction.

Senator Cruz gave credit to President Reagan for building up our defenses in Germany as part of the show of strength that led to the showdown and the backing down of the Soviet Union and collapse of communism there.  Increasing our military then, made it possible now, for BHOB* to even stand in eastern Germany to give his speech.

So, we thank you, Ronald Reagan.

And, no thanks to you, BHOB*, for promising to the world to throw it away.

HIGHER POWER—LIMITED CHOICES

What is your higher power?  I know what mine is.

We all need a higher power—whether you’re dealing with an addiction or a dictator, a job or the IRS, making ends meet or meeting your maker, people or loneliness, pride or depression, overbooked or bored, racing on life’s freeway or searching for the narrow way, world by the tail or the tail of the world, or just plain “Why?”

Please take time to read more on this site.  Take as much time as it takes, to find some answers to the most important questions.

We are not designed to handle all the answers to all of life.  But all the answers we must have are available.

“ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS”

Thank you, Todd Starnes, commenting on the immigration bill, welcoming lawbreakers to a country without laws.

Sounds like a perfect match—if it’s too hard to use will and power to enforce the law, change the law.  That takes care of the crime problem.  Ridiculous.

If only our employees in Washington could pass the elementary courses of Immigration 101 and Democracy 101.

DICTATORS NOW CONTROL THE WEATHER

If you can’t legislate, then dictate.  That simplifies dictatorships.

True science and common sense and a real view of man tell us it is laughable to think we cause bad storms.

But those who insatiably thirst for power do not miss any opportunity to sway the masses with hype and fear.  Anything to gain control, and then unlimited power, is the bread and butter of dictators.

The sad part of the stories when tyrants rise to power, is the frequent free will of the people voluntarily giving the evil leaders what they want, simply succumbing to promises and lies and manipulation.

Proof that it works for them—“global warming” and “climate change” remain effective trigger words for restricting our lives, long after the “science” claims have been debunked.

BHOB* tried it again yesterday, and I suppose plenty of the masses will respond like sheep to the call of the wolf dressed like a shepherd.

STOP BULLYING—PLEASE

Please stop beating up on me.

Bully, you need to be nice.

Iran, you know you need to give up making nuclear weapons.  (actually spoken by US senator about new Iran leader)

Syria, you need to stop killing people.

Iran and Russia, you need to stop arming Syria.

Muslim Brotherhood, you need to stop revealing your true identity.

USA, you need to stop siding with the Muslim Brotherhood and those they side with—such as Syrian rebels.

USA, you need to stop making deals with Al Qaeda.

Muslims, you need to stop following the Koran where it says kill or enslave everybody else.

IRS, you need to stop bothering (bullying) Americans.

US government, you need to stop threatening us by stockpiling ammunition to use against us.

BHOB*, you need to obey the Constitution you swore to uphold.

BHOB*, you need to stop trashing the Constitution with executive orders and czars.

BHOB*, you need to stop catering to Muslims and Islam.

BHOB*, you need to stop throwing Israel under the bus.

BHOB*, you need to stop trashing Christianity.

BHOB*, you need to stop being in the White House.

Congress, you need to stop BHOB*.

Christians, you need to stop being passive, before it’s too late to act.

+++++What do all above statements have in common?+++++

They are not going to happen.  When weighed against reality, they are all as laughable as the first two.

In 2008, when people saw what might happen and said, “Oh my gosh, what can we do?”, we were told to get informed, by conservative talk shows.  It didn’t help.

In 2010, when people saw what was happening and said, “Oh my gosh, this is very bad,” we were told to get fired up, by the Tea Party.  It helped.

In 2012, when people saw what was going to happen and said, “Oh my gosh, this can’t happen,” we were told to shut up, by the IRS.  It worked, for BHOB*.

By the way, in perspective, when Hitler’s power grabbing was underway, he actually met with a group of very concerned church leaders.  They shared their concerns openly, and Hitler listened.  He put his arm around them and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of the church.”  They believed him, and he did “take care of” the church—and the Jews—and all opposition—and the neighbors—and thousands of Americans—and . . .

Bullies bully, until they are stopped by somebody they can’t bully.

I wish every person in Congress, every governor, every talk show host, and every preacher would come to grips with the above truth before they talk or preach.

I despise the idea of just going about our business as usual to survive as long as we can, and then deal with the coming calamity the best way we can when it comes.

I wish I could inspire and fire up and motivate Americans to action that will make a difference, like the writers who inspired people in the American Revolution.  We need it, now.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH A FENCE?

What’s wrong with a fence?

A fence is working fine for Israel.

So is their system of airline security.

So is their readiness for war, for defense.

So is their willingness to stand against world opinion.

All because they care about their country.

What’s wrong with a fence on our border?

It’s not there—that’s what is wrong.

We’ve lost our willingness for defense—that’s what is wrong.

We’re losing our readiness for defense—that’s what is wrong.

Texas once took over the border problem and formed the Texas Rangers to do so—that’s what is right.

Texas needs to take over a few other things as well—and that is right.

THE CASE FOR DAYDREAMING, AND BOREDOM, AND . . .

. . . AND SILENCE, AND UNPLUGGED, AND . . .

I’m quite sure that last one made my point.  But there is more.

There is a case for a break—a break from most of what runs our lives today.  But let me just continue the list right now.  I’m aware it’s quite a list, but I’ve never written it down.

+ QUIET

+ UNPLUGGED

(If you can, now go through this list and add “by choice” [except the last line] and reflect on each one.  You may be pleasantly surprised—and we need that.)

I WAS RIGHT – – – TO REBEL (our limits with technology)

Top Gun Flight School rejects multi-taskers.

Top Gun wants Sequential-Tasking, not Multi-Tasking.

Just Google It—just don’t bother me.

Just The Facts—but not relationships.

With the internet, you can do it yourself—you don’t need me.

With the internet, you don’t have to waste my time—I’m busy, on my own tech gadgets.

If you want to offend (be a rebel and be right), try this:  If you are talking with someone, or watching a movie together, and that person looks at their phone, then you need to stop the conversation or the movie immediately.  Silence on your part, and the other person will, without fail, tell you to continue.  Stick to your guns, and you will do a favor for both of you.

Absolute must listen—James Dobson’s Family Talk with Arch Hart, today.

WHY IS TRUTH SO ELUSIVE? – – – OR IS IT?

There is a lot of talk about finding truth—or not finding it—or it can’t be found—or . . .

Truth is hard to find when we make ourselves hard to find.

A good illustration of the riddles on the present-day merry-go-round for truth is the game of hide-and-seek.  Like little children, we pretend that truth is hiding, but instead of going to look for it in all the obvious places, we say truth can’t be found, and go hide ourselves where we think truth can’t find us.  Then we even say (or shout), “I’ve found it—this is my very own truth.  Now, if everyone else will just keep their own new-found truth from interfering with my truth, we will live happily ever after.”

So, then, what happens when Truth gets done waiting for them to come looking for Truth, and Truth appears beyond all denial, and Truth is not happy?

When truth is presented, and we don’t like it, we’d rather say it doesn’t exist than be accountable to it—especially it that “it” is Someone—especially if “it” is God.

“You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.”

God is not hidden from us, unless we try to hide from Him.  How foolish then to blame Him for being hard to find.  How foolish then to say that truth cannot be found.

One day God will say to all of us, “I told you everything you need to know to find truth, to find me.  I shouted it with such volume to overwhelm your senses and your telescopes and your microscopes and your brain.  I made the details of the world, the universe, to repeatedly blow you away with new discoveries of phenomena that were there all the time.  I made you with incredible ability to create almost miraculous stuff, all the while using the materials and equipment and laws of the universe that I put into every single atom from day one (yes, day one through day six, just like I said, in writing).

“And, [God still talking] I put it into your heart to need to know me.  And you can, if you will.

“And, I gave you my Son.  And He really gave it all, for you.  He is The Truth, and He said so.

“And, I will hold you accountable—now, and on your last day.”

If you want to find truth, it’s not hard to find—if you don’t try so ever-blooming hard to not let it find you.

Don’t try so hard to not let Jesus the Truth find you.

GIVE IT AWAY

ALL Christian financial teaching that I hear today is centered on making us more comfortable now, and especially investing for a more comfortable retirement.

That is not Biblical, though it may be American today.

How about giving it away?

That is Biblical, but not American today.
