TRYOUTS FOR TRIBULATION

All American Christians, it is time now to be real or get real, as promised in the Bible.
“In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” —–Jesus
The most important thought in the title above is this:
TRYOUTS FOR TRIBULATION—WILL YOU MAKE THE CUT?
If we do not qualify for persecution, we must seriously evaluate the authenticity of our relationship with Jesus.
Along with other Christians I have enjoyed living in America with religious freedom and our country’s Judeo-Christian foundation.
All indications tell us this great relationship between American Christians and the government is now coming to an end.
We can no longer expect the government to protect our freedoms.
WE MUST DEFEND ourselves and our freedoms as long as we can, by any means.
WE MUST DEPEND on God and His Word as long as we live.
There is not much time—tryouts are underway now.
Get in your Bible.
Get real with God.
Get right with God.
Get ready for troubles.
Get close to real Christians.
Get with people you can trust.

Usually this question is asked in reference to Bible prophecy.
I will take a different direction here.
One thought that comes to mind is Abraham Lincoln’s response during the Civil War to the question, “Are you sure God is on our side?”
His answer, “What matters is that we are on God’s side.”
So today, “Is America in the Bible?”
What matters is this, “Are Americans into their Bibles?”
MARTYR

A martyr is not simply someone who dies for his faith.
“The cause, not the suffering, makes a genuine martyr.” —–St. Augustine
A martyr is one “who has become an instrument of God, who has lost his will in the will of God, not lost it but found it, for he has found freedom in submission to God. The martyr no longer desires anything for himself, not even the glory of martyrdom.” —–T. S. Eliot
In original Greek, “martyr” means “witness.”
“. . . we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses [martyrs], . . . ” —–Hebrews, His Book
“You shall be witnesses [martyrs] to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” —–Jesus
The time has now come when Christians in America also experience what Jesus promised:
“Blessed are you when people revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven; for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
(The promise that Islamic killers die for—70 virgins in glory—is one more appealing counterfeit of the devil.)
