PERSECUTED IN PUBLIC SCHOOL

We have a plague in the public schools of America that causes damage and pain and death as surely as persecution around the world.

We decry the outlawing of Christianity in other countries, and the devastation to Christians—while we have done the same thing in our schools, with increasing devastation to our children.

We must see the connection—we must make the changes.

Yesterday I sent the following to a number of local friends:

“Who can we enlist to start a campaign with people carrying three signs around my school (Temple High School), and your school, and then another school? Three different signs, with this specific wording, one school at a time:

WE NEED THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IN OUR SCHOOL AGAIN

WE NEED PRAYER IN OUR SCHOOL AGAIN

WE NEED THE BIBLE IN OUR SCHOOL AGAIN”

And, cards could be given to passersby:

“Your laws ignore our deepest needs.

Your words are empty air.

You’ve stripped away our heritage.

You’ve outlawed simple prayer.

Now gunshots fill our classrooms,

And precious children die.

You seek for answers everywhere,

And ask the question, ‘WHY?’ . . .

If a few people, and then thousands of people across the country, carried those three signs in front of their school, some would make the connection with what is happening inside, and God would make the difference.

Please note my emphasis on school (not schools)—that’s where change starts.

GIVE THE DEVIL A LITTLE . . .

“Give the devil a little finger, and he’ll take the whole hand.”

Daddy often quoted that saying, that fact.

The first time I heard him use it was when I was in fourth grade in a Christian school, operated by the church we attended.

The church leadership lost interest, passion, for supporting the school, and voted to cancel the seventh and eighth grades the next school year.

So the saying came true a year later when I finished the fifth grade, and they closed the whole school.

The Godlessness I experienced in public school the next year grieved Daddy severely, the full extent of which I could never know.

But the lifetime effect gave me a passion for Christian education (church schools, private Christian schools, home schools) that likely exceeds Daddy’s.

He ‘gave his last drop of blood’ for Christian education, and so have I (as a student, as a teacher, as a parent, as an advocate).

My dearest memory of the last few years of Daddy’s life, when I was teaching fourth grade in Hollywood, Florida, was his repeated comment on the phone, “I’m so glad you’re telling these little lambs about Jesus.”

That kept this teacher going, on a mission commissioned by God Himself.

Then, after my years of teaching, I designed and manufactured and installed playground equipment for 25 years, applying my intense insight in child development.

I asked God to provide two things:

+enough money to feed my four children, and

+enough money to send them to Christian schools through eighth grade.

He did—well-fed, healthy, outstanding athletes—and 38 combined years in Christian schools with full tuition and other costs totaling well over a hundred thousand dollars.

And only two years during that time did my income reach twenty-five thousand dollars.

I share that to show (through three generations) the power of God, and the passion of God, and the provision of God—honoring what Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them.”

CHAIN OF COMMAND – – – HOME EDITION

I am usually reluctant to add one more formula for family and parenting, but this one is too perfect to not pass on.

If parents use this consistently any time both mother and father are present, it carries the authority through other times.

– – –

Mother says, “Johnny, set the table for supper.” (Say the child’s name first, then the command.)

Mother waits ten seconds for Johnny’s physical response and verbal response, “OK, Mother.”

With Johnny’s response, Mother says, “Johnny, we are glad you are obeying.” Father hears that, and Johnny knows Father hears that. (If Father is not home, he will hear this when he gets home.)

Without Johnny’s timely response, Mother says, “Frank (Father), I told Johnny to set the table for supper, and he is not obeying me.” (Other times, Mother simply waits after Father gets home and says, “Frank, I told Johnny to set the table for supper, and he did not obey me.”)

Mother says nothing more, and does nothing—she doesn’t have to.

Father looks at Johnny, silently, for five seconds, with no other action.

With Johnny’s immediate physical response and verbal response, “Mother, I’m sorry I did not obey you,” Father says, “Johnny, it is good that you decided to obey Mother.”

Without Johnny’s immediate response, Father gets up, silently, walks over to Johnny, takes him by the hand, and walks with Johnny to another room.

Father administers appropriate discipline, as communicated clearly, by both parents together, ahead of time, for any situation of disobeying Mother.

THEN, Father speaks to Johnny with words—words that carry all the love and weight of God-given authority, just confirmed by action beyond any doubt for Johnny.

This works, and takes care of the heart of respect and discipline, because it is Biblical.

PROBLEM WITH “MILLIONS OF YEARS” SCIENCE

Problem is this:

Scientists have NEVER observed ANYTHING happening over millions of years.*

Actually, scientists have never observed anything happening over six thousand years ago.

It’s ALL a guess.

It’s ALL taught as a fact in public schools.

What a joke.

What an embarrassment.

 

When you take God out, you have to fill it with something.

When you take the Bible out, you have to fill it with something.

When you take TRUTH out, you have to fill it with – – – LIES.

When you take prayer out, you have to fill it with something . . .

ENTER:

Muslim prayers and Muslim teaching in our public schools.

THAT IS NOT MY AMERICA.

That is not my parents’ America.

That is not my grandparents’ America.

That is not our forefathers’ America 250 years ago.

 

Whatever happened to “The Old Deluder Satan Act”?

That was a law, in America, to require the Bible taught in public schools, to protect children from lies of the devil.

It worked!

Today, something is seriously NOT working.

Wonder why?

Never before in the history of the world have those who want to take over the world had so many options to accomplish their goals.

For the terrorists today, it’s like kids in a candy store with credit cards paid for by . . . (guess who)

 

With a little help by way of the internet and U.S. foreign aid and American military equipment and technology, it’s like one-stop shopping.  They can have it all, and now they do.

 

So, here is a partial inventory of the terrorists’ dream store:

+++Positive PR—talk, peace, negotiation, delay, more talk—produced by American media, practically free

+++Weapons—guns by Fast and Furious—compliments of U.S. Justice Dept

+++Weapons—anything you want after U.S. military leaves early—American made works well, thank you

+++Nuclear Bomb—just a little more time and patience—Iran will have it ready shortly, with help from Russia

+++Dirty Bomb—not too hard to make yourself, materials available—not too expensive

+++Passports—tickets to terror—profiling, in reverse, in support of terrorists

+++Flight Training—worked so well for a few targets, do it again x 100—U.S. relaxed the rules just for you

+++Rio Grande Crossing—you want us (U.S.), you got us—too good, too perfect, believe it, use it

+++Disease—call it a sickening weapon, very effective—take your pick, plan in progress as we speak

+++Motivation—drive, passion, focus, patience, belief, suicide—brought to you by Islam, so you won’t quit

+++Terror—your trademark for effectiveness, unprecedented brutality–also brought to you by your religion

+++EMP—instantly a century back in time—available, relatively inexpensive, easily delivered during distraction with other attacks

+++Electric Grid Disruption—indefensible, bring any country to its knees overnight—attack a few selected sites

+++Car Bombs, Etc—effective terror everywhere else—easy anywhere with open borders

+++Enemy In Sight—cross hairs fiercely focused on little satan Israel, big satan U.S.—as defined by the devil

+++Recruitment—appeal to lowest base of human nature—beheading attracts like-minded depraved

+++Momentum—nothing succeeds like success, nothing standing in the way—thanks to weakened U.S.

+++Anti-Semitism—grow it worldwide, get everyone against Israel—tried before, available to try again

 

AND, for the terrorist who has everything:

+++The United States White House—–Your flag is already flying inside; in time, for all to see.

 

Now, for the secret:

+++The proprietor of the terrorists’ toy store is none other than BHOB*, always eager to please, with the slogan, “If we don’t have it now, we’ll get it for you as soon as we can.”

 

*Barack Hussein OBama—Say BHHHOB aloud and it sounds like the warning for Christians in the 2008 election: “Beware of sheep’s clothing.”

I’m not sure what my BS in Ed has done for me the past few decades, but I now have two other degrees that I use every day to make a difference.

 

Doctor of Experience from the University of Life

Doctor of Wisdom from the Book of Life

 

As I’ve said before, one of the significant challenges of growing older is finding younger people who appreciate your wisdom and experience.

I would encourage everyone to put extra effort into passing on to the next generation what you have learned.  I would even say, “Don’t wait until they ask.”  It doesn’t happen automatically like it used to, when it was built into the fabric of our culture.  But it is needed now more than ever.

IN OUR FREE SOCIETY, YOU CAN HAVE . . .

In a free, democratic society like America, you can have any kind of government you want—but you can’t have two governments from opposite foundations at the same time.

“Choose you this day whom you will serve, . . .”

Two choices that day—two choices today.

America can choose socialism, atheism, cultural experimentation, change, change, and more change.  And Americans will live with the results.  All the options on that side come under one choice—reject God and the Bible, and see what He does about it.  If you really want to know, read history.

THOUGHT OF – – – OR THOUGHT UP

When Newton observed gravity, he did not invent gravity or create it.  He “thought of” gravity, not “thought up” gravity.

When science describes the world, it cannot explain everything it describes.  Science discovers new stuff in this phenomenal world all the time, and science explains how some of it works.  But one thing is constant about scientific advancement—ever-increasing complexity observed, ever-increasingly unexplainable.

Science describes.  Science cannot explain.

As knowledge and technology multiply by leaps and bounds, we vainly imagine that we can come up with answers to everything.  And we have seven billion different answers.

Something is missing.  But no, it is not missing.  It is just ignored.

Instead of continuing the futile search for the missing link to prove evolution (biggest failure of “science”), we have the Missing Link clearly written in three places for all to see, regardless of intelligence, fame, or fortune.

God explained everything we need to know—written in the grandeur of the universe, written in the heart of every human, and written in the Bible.

First, God is thrilled when man discovers all kinds of amazing new stuff, with more guaranteed to be found.  He put it all together with just enough secrecy to keep us searching—from the gold prospector to the psychiatrist to the physicist.

To put the second in human terms, God has a clear conscience because He put into our conscience a clear awareness of right and wrong and His sovereignty.

Third, the Bible explains very clearly how this whole world got made, how it got messed up, how it gets fixed, and how it ends.

CHRISTIANS – – – SLAVES ? – OR SERVANTS ?

Christians are clearly called to be slaves of Jesus, our Master.

Christians are clearly commanded to be servants of each other.

Yet, Jesus said He calls us His friends.

So, Christian slavery to Jesus and servant-hood to each other is voluntary—by choice, out of love, with thankfulness.

Also, Christians are told to “Fear God.  Honor the king.”  IN THAT ORDER!!!  We fear God first, then honor the king.  That settles the issue when you can’t do both.  God is a capital G – – – king is a little k (very little in comparison).

Therefore, Christians have no business choosing to be slaves of man.

And, the following passage compels us to take whatever action is necessary to stop the killing and slavery of others, when we know it is happening.  I cannot comment after I share it, because it is severely convicting—so just consider this as you read—Holocaust, Bonhoeffer, Abortion, Obamerica.  This was written to God’s people.

“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?  He Who keeps your soul, does He not know it?

And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
