GOD’S FAMILY PLAN

God does not depend on perfect people to perform His perfect plan in families.  (Inspired by guest on James Dobson’s “Family Talk.”)

We’re open for improvement—His plan is not.

USA – – – UP BY TEN – – – AND LOSING

The United States of America has been blessed with ten generations that knew the meaning of sacrifice—that knew the price of freedom—that maintained eternal vigilance—that passed on the meaning of “a moral people”—that turned and returned to God in crisis and in prosperity—that never forgot where we came from and why we are here—that believed we are exceptional because we are founded on the Bible—that believed we are called by God to be a bastion of freedom against worlds of evil—that believed every American must fight for family and freedom—that understood the people’s government is good when the people are good.

The United States of America is “up by ten” because ten generations have maintained our heritage.

When one generation fails to pass on the torch of freedom to the next, that freedom and all its blessings vanish.

We are living in that generation now, and the USA—up by ten—is losing.

WHAT CAN WE DO ?

2008

—“Get involved”

—“Get informed”

That was good, but it didn’t answer the question, “What can we do?”

2010

—“Get involved”

—“Get informed”

—“Change Congress”

It worked, but it reached only one third of the goal, the House of Representatives.

2012

—“Change the Senate”

—“Change the Administration”

Or else.

Or else this country will operate no differently than other countries in turmoil that we see on the news.

This election is the last chance for the democratic process to work in the United States of America.

EASTER—–JESUS—–RESURRECTION DAY

Could God get your attention today, on Easter?

What, then, shall I do with Jesus?

What, now, shall I do with Jesus?

A)    Reject Him—and return to my life.

OR

B)    Receive Him—and turn from my life.

“WHAT THEN SHALL I DO WITH . . . “

“What then shall I do with Jesus?

—Pilate

SOMEBODY WHO CAN WIN ?

In politics, two things can happen when you nominate someone only because you think they can win:

01)  You miss out on somebody who is right.

02)  You nominate somebody who can lose.

MUSLIM – – – – – – – CHRISTIAN

According to Islam, a Muslim who becomes a Christian must be killed.

According to Islam, a Muslim may lie if it advances the cause of Islam.

BHOB* identified as a Muslim when he was in school.

BHOB bows to Muslims and caters to Islam whenever possible.

BHOB occasionally refers to himself as a Christian.

BHOB never faces death threats for saying he is a Christian.

BHOB is living out his Muslim roots, and he is advancing the cause of Islam when he lies that he is a Christian.

*Barack Hussein OBama—Say BHHHOB aloud and it sounds like the warning for Christians in the 2008 election: “Beware of sheep’s clothing.”

HEART TRANSPLANT – – – TECHNOLOGY EDITION

No, I haven’t been in the hospital, but my computer was.

New, bigger hard drive, and a son to install everything and work out the kinks.  Wonderful.

Thought for the day, on the marvels of technology, compared to life:

As our computer world (and all that comes with it) goes faster and faster to bring more stuff into our lives, we must identify and hold onto the things that cannot change.

01)  We can’t raise our children faster.

02)  We still have wisdom from the past, to pass on.

03)  Everything man made does have limits.

04)  Information may not increase intelligence.

05)  Personal peace is not proportional to speed.

06)  Busy does not equate with blessed.

07)  Search for meaning in the heart is not found on the internet.

07)  “Be still, and know . . . ”  (find the secret in His Book—Psalm 46)

“I COULDN’T DO IT . . . “

A young girl hesitated, then walked into the building, then came back out, hesitated again and walked back in.  The third time she came out, she went over to a group of young people her age and said,  “I couldn’t do it, because you were here.”

The building was a Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

The group of young people were from Students for Life.

“LIKE” – – – – “FRIENDS”

I hate the new use of those two words, but my strong emotion is not directed at the people already accustomed to this change.

“Like”     just a networking tool now

“Friends”     we don’t even know, by the hundreds

A whole generation, even a whole culture across generations, is losing the precious meaning of building real relationships in person.

Consider the fragile beauty of budding love that says, “I think she likes me.”

Consider the depth of meaning between two souls that says, “There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.”

Who gets to experience that today, without getting trampled by the internet flood of watered down words?

Virtual relationships settle for superficial—keyboard to keyboard.

Virtuous relationships have it all—face to face and eye to eye.

Guard your own heart, and try to influence others toward real relationships in spite of the internet.

You make a difference.
