It is possible for an election to provide a course correction for a nation.\u00a0 (Lincoln and Reagan come to mind.)<\/p>\n
Will this election bring such a correction for America?\u00a0 I don’t know.<\/p>\n
Many people wonder if there is a solution—or is “dream” with a big question mark more realistic.<\/p>\n
Does history have to repeat itself, and we go down?\u00a0 Are there any recorded exceptions?<\/p>\n
I find only one category, where nations come back from the brink.\u00a0 And the ingredient—spiritual awakening, with repentance.<\/p>\n

Nineveh was 40 days and counting, from being toast-ed, by God.\u00a0 He could do it.\u00a0 He said He would.\u00a0 His prophet Jonah said He would.\u00a0 But He didn’t—they all repented, starting with the king.\u00a0 Hmmm.<\/p>\n

—they repented before God<\/p>\n
—they cried to God<\/p>\n
—they were pulled from the brink by God<\/p>\n
—they enjoyed sweet blessings of God<\/p>\n

The question for the United States is this:\u00a0 How many American Christians are ready to repent of sin, right now?<\/p>\n

Abraham bargained with God to save Sodom if there were 50 righteous there.\u00a0 God said okay.\u00a0 Abraham said 40.\u00a0 God said okay.\u00a0 Abraham said 30.\u00a0 God said okay.\u00a0 Abraham said 20.\u00a0 God said okay.\u00a0 Abraham said, “God, please don’t be angry with me.\u00a0 Will you save Sodom (where my nephew and family live) if you find 10 righteous there.\u00a0 GOD SAID OKAY.<\/p>\n
The next day Abraham saw the mushroom cloud in the distance, where Sodom used to be.<\/p>\n
