Demilitarized Zone<\/p>\n
—in war<\/p>\n
—in politics<\/p>\n
—in America<\/p>\n
—in church<\/p>\n
—in future<\/p>\n
In war there is a marginal status between a Demilitarized Zone and a No Man’s Land.\u00a0 A DMZ is supposed to be a safe area between sworn enemies who agree to leave you alone there.\u00a0 A NML is a similar area between sworn enemies who agree to not leave you alone there—fair game.<\/p>\n
In politics, tonight there is a presidential debate, where some will pretend a DMZ format.\u00a0 It’s America, where we agree to disagree in a civil conversation, and afterward come together for the best interests of the country.\u00a0 That’s the America I grew up in.\u00a0 Not today.\u00a0 We are in a NML worse than any war in our history.\u00a0 Nothing safe.\u00a0 Nothing sacred.\u00a0 If we don’t take out the enemy now, he will laugh, because he couldn’t care less about America.<\/p>\n
The church in America has been told we belong in the DMZ.\u00a0 If we stay between their\u00a0 lines, we will be left alone.\u00a0 Don’t offend, don’t fight, don’t meddle.<\/p>\n
The spiritual DMZ in this country has a bunch of rules and aka’s:<\/p>\n
—freedom of worship, not freedom of religion<\/p>\n
—political correctness in the pulpit<\/p>\n
—sedated saints are safer<\/p>\n
—state approved churches (what country are we in?)<\/p>\n
—tolerance (for their way, or the highway)<\/p>\n
—follow all the rules of pacifist democracy, and you won’t get hurt<\/p>\n
—501c3\u00a0 or else ACLU<\/p>\n
—DMZ shrinks into NML<\/p>\n
Is spite of all the outcry of “No Fair,”\u00a0 “You Can’t Do That In America,”\u00a0 the Demilitarized Zone is now the No Man’s Land.\u00a0 And strangely enough, Christians are the main target—just like old times of the first century.<\/p>\n
The zone between the lines becomes a line, a fence to straddle.<\/p>\n
