“You shall<\/span> have no other gods before me.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“You shall not<\/span> take the name of the Lord your God in vain.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

He said “shall<\/span>,” not “should.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“Choose<\/span> you this day whom you will serve.”—–voluntary<\/p>\n

“You must<\/span> be born again.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“Follow Me<\/span>“—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“If<\/span> you confess Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.”—–voluntary<\/p>\n

“Not everyone<\/span> who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, . . .”—–voluntary<\/p>\n

“. . . but he who does the will<\/span> of my Father, who is in heaven.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“Husbands, love<\/span> your wives.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“Wives, submit<\/span> to your husbands.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“Children, obey<\/span> your parents.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“You shall<\/span> eat the fruit of every tree in the garden . . . “—–mandatory<\/p>\n

“. . . but you shall not<\/span> eat the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden.”—–mandatory<\/p>\n

From day one God gives lots of mandatory instructions (whether we like it or not), with one universal exception.\u00a0 If you don’t like the way God set it up and explained it in the Bible, you do have a way out—very simply:<\/p>\n

God does not override free will<\/span>—voluntary<\/p>\n

BUT,<\/p>\n

He just has the last word<\/span>, in everything.—–mandatory<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And one more thing—suppose you want to be part of God’s people, but still want the option to do your own thing.\u00a0 We can never sidestep or outsmart the “IF<\/span>‘s” in the Bible, even if<\/span> we are a part of His people.<\/p>\n

“IF<\/span> MY PEOPLE, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN<\/span> I WILL hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
