Do you ever feel like saying, “Why, God, Why?”<\/p>\n

I can’t imagine anyone never saying it in a lifetime.<\/p>\n

I also notice that “It’s Not Fair” is not just for kids to say.<\/p>\n

Something is definitely wrong with this world. \u00a0Does that mean something is wrong with God?<\/p>\n

I have listened to answers all my life, and read good books like When God Doesn’t Make Sense<\/span>\u00a0and When Your Rope Breaks<\/span>. \u00a0Yet, it can still be very hard when life backs you into a corner and everything blows up in your face.<\/p>\n

My personal conclusion is like this:<\/p>\n

First, the longer I live, the more I realize how much bigger God is than I am. \u00a0He knows all, including answers to questions I don’t even know how to ask properly. \u00a0Fact is—God doesn’t fit—He doesn’t fit into our brain. \u00a0He will not change to fit the billions of different expectations of every human being, including mine.<\/p>\n

Second, the longer I live, the more I find comfort reading the Bible. \u00a0I have graciously been given a personal relationship with the author. \u00a0I don’t deserve that relationship. \u00a0It doesn’t fit my expectations or answer all my questions. \u00a0But it is true, and it makes all the difference in the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
