Christian compulsion —
Must offer suggestions to fix.
We usually, desperately, want someone we care about, to get better, so we feel better.
We’re successful if we get someone else successful.
We are uncomfortable when someone is hurting—until they stop hurting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Bear . . .” is different.
Says nothing about ‘fixing’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Communicating we care counts most without words, even Bible verses, at first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Quick to care —
Quick to bear —
Quick to share —
— the burdens.
Plenty of time to say something–or say nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How do you know that you did “bear” right ?
You’ll know inside the other person.
Not how satisfied you think or feel that you did good.
If you bear another’s burdens, really, you may feel lousy for a time—get it ?—burdened by bearing another’s burden.
Then, you’ve caught the heart of Jesus.
Then, “BUT GOD”, and He takes it from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May I suggest we must do this in person, face to face, touch to touch, tear to tear.
