Not immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the storms in our life—we cry out to Jesus to calm them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He tells us, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble . . .”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Sometimes He calms them quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Sometimes He calms them slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He tells us, “. . . I will deliver you, . . .”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When He delivers us, we thank Him profusely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He tells us, “. . . and you will glorify Me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will deliver you,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And you will glorify Me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+Sometimes He calms us, instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Sometimes He calms the storm,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes He calms His child.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some times He changes our circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All times His purpose is to change us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To change us, He must first get our attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To get our attention, He can use anything—good, bad, ugly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, when He has our attention, He asks, “Now, how long will I have your attention?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You see, the only way God can change us—He must get our undivided attention, and keep our attention long enough to develop a relationship with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A changed life with Jesus is not just an event—it is an ongoing, daily lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
