Pioneers had a consistent set of values and beliefs that they were bound and determined to pass on to the next generation, intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a package—with God, family, work, the 3R’s, right and wrong, Bible, morality—known and universally sanctioned in the home and in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is referred to as ‘the old school.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today we scarcely even know what that package is, to pass on, much less how to pass it on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
