In a very bad storm on the Sea of Galilee, Peter walked on water, in faith, to Jesus (almost to Jesus).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HUGE WIND—BLOW YOU AWAY<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LOOK AT STORM—EYES OFF JESUS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FAITH OFF, FEAR ON—S I N K !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus had to grab Peter’s hand fast (gravity is not slow motion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Right there Jesus said to Peter, “Why did you doubt, O you of little faith?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By the way, Jesus did not say, “Why did you come?” (Daddy always liked to point that out.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hmmm, where does that leave the amount of faith for the other eleven in the boat—only Peter really did just walk on water in faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, Peter walked on water again, back to the boat, holding Jesus’ hand I suppose (er, uh, Jesus holding Peter’s hand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, what about the storm?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Peter and Jesus walked back to the boat with HUGE WAVES and HUGE WIND—storm still full-blown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Think about that for a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After they climbed back in the boat, the storm stopped, and the disciples worshipped Jesus, “Truly, You are the Son of God.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s safe to say that all twelve disciples had a lot more faith after this experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They faltered and failed again, but after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, they prayed and waited for the Holy Spirit, and then they “turned the world upside down.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
