“I almost made it to the Biblical allotment of 70 years.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If someone else made the exact same statement about me, it had an entirely different meaning,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Larry almost made it to the Biblical allotment of 70 years.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I can say,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I made it to the Biblical allotment of 70 years.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, now anyone can say the same about me, with the same meaning,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Larry made it to the Biblical allotment of 70 years.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– – –<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But we must add,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“. . . totally by the grace of God.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– – –<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No promise ‘of the days,’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but promise ‘for the days.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
