If we say, “Our father who art in Washington, give us this day our daily bread,” now, how can we pray, “Deliver us from evil,” when needed?<\/p>\n
If Washington is our provider-god now, we can’t expect to switch gods at the moment of crisis, for the true God to deliver us.<\/p>\n
“We Trust In God” is a long-term commitment—personally and nationally—in order to experience “God Blessing America” in the long term as well.<\/p>\n
Indeed, “God is a very present help in time of trouble,” but He is not manipulated into an emergency-only god.<\/p>\n
The first part of that Bible promise says, “God is our Refuge and Strength, . . .”<\/p>\n
