A few days ago when I stopped at HEB in Belton, Texas, I noticed a young, courteous, black gentleman (employee) helping an older, white lady with her groceries at her car.<\/p>\n
Their conversation showed that he graciously cared about her concerns—I couldn’t catch the details, but I paused to watch and listen, then went into the store.<\/p>\n
I waited until he brought the electric grocery cart back, and gave him commendation—“If we duplicated what you just did, enough times, our country wouldn’t have any more problems.”<\/p>\n
That may be oversimplifying things, but those few minutes of real, everyday life included so many ingredients that we need today.<\/p>\n
I didn’t get his name, but he got affirmed and encouraged by me.<\/p>\n
And I’m quite sure that what I saw is often observed in his way of life.<\/p>\n
May his tribe increase.<\/p>\n
