That’s what we do, right?<\/p>\n
That’s what everybody does, right?<\/p>\n
That’s what we’re told to do if we’ve got any kind of decent job, right?<\/p>\n

Now, that title is in quotes.<\/p>\n
So, the person behind that quote must have been a responsible, American, financial advisor.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Well, it so happens that immediately before that quote, this person also said,<\/p>\n
“DO NOT LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES . . .”<\/p>\n
So, which is it—“lay up” or “don’t lay up”?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal;<\/p>\n
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break through nor steal;<\/p>\n

If the Bible gives so many repeated warnings about stashing stuff here on earth, WHY do so many Americans, and American Christians, spend everything for a lifetime trying to beat the odds?<\/p>\n

“Did God really say, ‘Don’t eat that fruit.'”?\u00a0\u00a0 —satan<\/p>\n
“Did God really say, ‘Don’t lay up treasures on earth.'”?\u00a0\u00a0 —_ _ _ _ _<\/p>\n
