Here is something I wrote to my oldest son 3-29-15:<\/p>\n
Something about my dad comes clear this morning listening to “”Road To Reality” on the call of God, and “Changed Lives” on patience.<\/p>\n
BALANCE\/TENSION between waiting on God, and getting things done.<\/p>\n
Daddy spent lots of time with his open Bible early in the morning, and other times during the day.\u00a0 I remember the New Testament on his pickup seat.<\/p>\n
And then he had us all spend considerable devotion time after breakfast—so much, in fact, that it distressed most of the family, including my body.\u00a0 It was prime work time on the farm.<\/p>\n
Did God honor that?\u00a0 Yes.<\/p>\n
Do I struggle over time?\u00a0 Yes.<\/p>\n
Did God honor time Daddy spent listening to Christian radio?\u00a0 Yes.<\/p>\n
Does God honor time I spend listening to Christian radio?\u00a0 Yes, daily.<\/p>\n
And one more thought from my Dad:<\/p>\n
Must all Christians suffer?\u00a0 Yes, as promised.<\/p>\n
Daddy had the following Bible verse engraved on my brother’s tombstone:<\/p>\n
“We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”<\/p>\n
I hope to someday share the rest of his story.\u00a0 I just wanted to start getting that legacy out.<\/p>\n
