One day years ago my pastor started his message at church in the park with the following words of Jesus,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then he walked around the picnic tables under the open pavilion, and spoke a little slower,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
In silence, he walked around the picnic tables under the open pavilion, and then spoke a little slower than before,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
Again, silence, then even slower,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
Again,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
And again,
\n\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, any wonder why I remember that day?<\/p>\n
Sometimes we need to be still (long enough), and know that He is God, so we are ready to hear clearly, and then go and do the will of our Father Who is in heaven.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
