He finally decided he could write, with much difficulty.<\/p>\n
He would write letters.<\/p>\n
He wrote letters to prisons.<\/p>\n
He had no record of what happened to his letters—if anybody even read them.<\/p>\n
No one was allowed to answer his letters, but he didn’t even know that.<\/p>\n
Sometimes he got discouraged.<\/p>\n
Eventually he began to give up writing letters.<\/p>\n
Finally one letter came, on prison stationery, from the security person in charge of screening mail coming into the prison.<\/p>\n
