More and more I find myself becoming uncomfortable with comfortable.<\/p>\n
Most Christian brothers and sisters around the world do not have a life of ease, and are not comfortable.<\/p>\n
In fact, many are suffering, some severely, and dying for Jesus.<\/p>\n
Very, very few of Jesus’ followers have had easy lives, and today there is a sudden worldwide wave of attack on His people—AS PROMISED.<\/p>\n
And, now it is starting in America also.\u00a0 Christians are singled out and criticized and losing their jobs just for believing in Jesus and saying what He said.<\/p>\n
Jesus said unpopular things, and He paid a high price for it.<\/p>\n
My dad always repeated things Jesus said, and he paid a high price for that.<\/p>\n
Perhaps the most unfavorable words of Jesus would be His prediction of the times closest to the end of the world.<\/p>\n
“You will be hated by all for my name’s sake, . . . , and then shall the end come.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Am I a soldier of the cross,<\/p>\n
A follower of the Lamb?<\/p>\n
And shall I fear to own His cause<\/p>\n
Or blush to speak His name?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Must I be carried to the skies<\/p>\n
On flow’ry beds of ease,<\/p>\n
While others fought to win the prize<\/p>\n
And sailed through bloody seas?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Are there no foes for me to face?<\/p>\n
Must I not stem the flood?<\/p>\n
Is this vile world a friend to grace<\/p>\n
To help me on to God?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sure I must fight if I would reign;<\/p>\n
Increase my courage, Lord.<\/p>\n
I’ll bear the toil, endure the pain,<\/p>\n
Supported by my God.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Thy saints in all this glorious war<\/p>\n
Shall conquer, though they die.<\/p>\n
They see the triumph from afar<\/p>\n
With faith’s discerning eye.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When that illustrious day shall rise<\/p>\n
And all Thine armies shine,<\/p>\n
In robes of victory through the skies<\/p>\n
