{"id":1164,"date":"2012-11-22T11:37:09","date_gmt":"2012-11-22T17:37:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.awordforthought.com\/?p=1164"},"modified":"2012-11-22T11:37:09","modified_gmt":"2012-11-22T17:37:09","slug":"atheists-saddest-day-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.awordforthought.com\/?p=1164","title":{"rendered":"ATHEISTS&#8217; SADDEST DAY OF THE YEAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I cannot imagine the sadness of Thanksgiving Day with no God to thank.<\/p>\n<p>And even worse, if you admit your sadness, you lose the argument against God&#8217;s reality.<\/p>\n<p>So, atheists become defensive or angry or intolerant of anyone who believes in and gives thanks to Someone they say doesn&#8217;t exist.<\/p>\n<p>What does it really mean, then, when atheists try to stop the Christmas message and Christmas symbols?<\/p>\n<p>Well, here&#8217;s how I like to think of Christmas celebration, and the war on Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>EVERY YEAR WE GET TO ADD ANOTHER CANDLE ON JESUS&#8217; BIRTHDAY CAKE, AND THE CELEBRATION JUST GETS BIGGER AND BETTER.\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AND ALL 2000 PLUS CANDLES ARE THE KIND THAT LIGHT BACK UP EVERY TIME SOMEONE TRIES TO BLOW THEM OUT!!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>(writers are supposed to use exclamation points sparingly, but this is an exception)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HALLELUJAH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !<\/span><\/p>\n<p>GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I cannot imagine the sadness of Thanksgiving Day with no God to thank.
