JONAH , ANYONE ?

If you identify with Jonah, called to deliver a warning of impending destruction, then I have a potential message for you.

“In forty weeks America will be destroyed.”

If you include the following in your message, you have the best chance  of maintaining your hope of no repentance (like Jonah):

“In forty weeks America will be destroyed, unless American Christians give up their materialism, including their insurance (lack of trust in God) and their retirement accounts (laying up treasures on earth).”

WARNING – – – HAZARDOUS , TO AMERICA

Currently, two of the greatest hazards to America are

01)  the talking issue of the day, and

02)  the democratic process.

Everyone is so eager to talk and complain or talk and praise the latest developments coming out of Washington.  In reality, 90% of the energy spent reacting to the current issues serves the enemy well as distraction, while they move forward with their agenda to destroy America.

The democratic process has served this country well for centuries.  Now we are about to be introduced to the way the rest of the world operates.  We’ve lost the prerequisite that makes our form of government work—“a moral and religious people.” (that comes from one of those who formed this government)  Leaders in Washington are laughing at democracy and will do anything to make it stop working, this year.

Some notice the emperor has no clothes, and some even say the emperor has no clothes, but the emperor is still making a fool of us as he marches on and people love what they see and hear.

“. . . NO LONGER A CHRISTIAN NATION” ? ?

“America is no longer a Christian nation.”

.          —BHOB*

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

SACRIFICE (suffering by choice) – – – FOR REVIVAL

We have lost the meaning of   “sacrifice”   in America.

What must I sacrifice to restore freedom to America?

Will Christians take the lead in “Changing America Back”?

The American church has become so enmeshed with the culture that sacrifice is out of our vocabulary.

The hardest thing for American Christians to sacrifice is their financial security.

That will remain the biggest obstacle to national revival and course correction.

? ? ? CAUTION ? ? ?

My greatest concern in the response to the political tsunami hitting America is this:

Everyone is too cautious to say what needs to be said and too restrained to call for action that needs to be taken.

For several years I have observed a fatal delay in identifying the enemy within; and then the outcry does no good.  The irreversible damage, the unprecedented takeover, is already done.

The good guys just react to the bad guys, and then it’s too late, over and over again.

I am convinced that everything being said right now and everything being done right now is not sufficient to save this country, this year.

Talk, negotiations, sanctions, democratic process—these never work with dictators.  LEARN FROM HISTORY ! ! !

I don’t see anything stopping the agenda of the leadership in Washington.  They have too many secret tricks and too many unused weapons at their disposal.  After these are deployed, there is no defense.

We must take out BHOB’s*   “WMD’s”   now, or never.

I strongly oppose using Jeremiah Wright to criticize Obama.

BEWARE – – – POPULAR PREACHERS

Beware of popular preachers.

How in the world can I say that?  Many of my favorite speakers and preachers have very big audiences.  And they are good.  And I like it when my own pastor makes me feel good, sometimes.

Okay, on the other side, do you know a pastor who always speaks powerfully from the Word of God, and yet consistently has a very small following, after a decade or more?

Now, consider all the people in the Bible who were spokesmen for God.  How many of them were consistently popular, with large and favorable audiences throughout their ministries?  Help me out—I’m struggling to think of a single example.

“Not everyone that says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not preached in your name?  And in your name have we not cast out devils?  And in your name have we not done many wonderful works?’

And then I will profess unto them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.’ ”

Jesus said that.

And what does it mean to really follow Him, including His unpopular warnings and promises, and the cost?

Beware.

Be careful whom you endorse.

Be careful whose endorsement you seek.

POPULAR PREACHERS – – – BEWARE

Popular preachers, beware of popularity.

Rather, seek God’s blessing.

Seek to qualify for Jesus’ promises:

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake:  for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:  for great is your reward in heaven;  for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

If we are really following Jesus, why aren’t we persecuted more?  Have we come up with a better formula than Jesus’ words?

Wait and see . . .

or

Repent and seek . . .
